Baked Spaghetti {Freezer Friendly and Great Delivery Meal}

I made this meal back in the Fall actually and have been meaning to post for awhile.  I’m always looking for easy meals that can be made ahead, are easy to freeze, or great to bring to other families.  This meal was perfect for that.  I doubled the recipe and was able to make enough to enjoy for dinner with my family and then also deliver to two other families that had new babies!

Baked Spaghetti

via

Ingredients
1 16 oz package spaghetti
1 26 oz jar spaghetti sauce
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
2 eggs
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
5 tablespoons butter, melted
2 cups ricotta cheese
4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions
Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, whisk the eggs, Parmesan cheese and butter. Drain spaghetti; add to egg mixture and toss to coat. Place half of the spaghetti mixture in a large greased baking dish. Top with half of the ricotta cheese, sauce and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Uncover; bake 20-25 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.

Yields two 9″ pans.

I wanted to make sure that they had everything they needed for the meal, so I grabbed a Caesar salad kit and a frozen loaf of garlic bread.

I also cooked our favorite Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs and served those on the side.  My husband is a major meat guy, so baked spaghetti by itself would not make him too thrilled.  So I figured I would serve these on the side to enjoy along with it.  They also freeze really well!

I have another friend that just had a baby and am in need of some new meal ideas that are great for delivery.  What are your favorite meals to deliver to friends??

Here are a couple more that I have done in the past:

Easy One Pot Bowtie Lasagna

Black Bean Quinoa Enchilada Bake

Honey Lime Chicken Enchiladas

    These look good!
I have a whole post about this on the blog. I frequently have to have freezer meals on hand for survival when my husband or I travel.
