I saw this cute post that Laurie did over at The Rookie Wife and thought I would use it to too. I’ve been back and forth on what I think the sex of the baby is, but I have mainly been feeling boy. I decided to fill it out just for fun and so I can look back after and see if those old wives tales prove true. Let’s see if it shows boy or girl?
Sleep Position
Pay attention to which way you lay down in bed tonight. If you prefer sleeping on your left side, you’ll have a boy. Right side? You’re pregnant with a girl.
BOY- Left side. Not sure if thats natural or if I’ve made an effort to sleep on that side because I read it was better for the baby.
Upset Stomach
Little girls aren’t always sweet. Extreme nausea means you are having a daughter.
BOY- I have had some problems with nausea, but I don’t think it’s considered extreme.
Soft or Dry Hands
If your hands are dry during pregnancy, you are having a boy; soft—expect a girl.
BOY- My hands are dry. I think they are always pretty dry though.
Food Cravings
Your favorite pregnancy foods may tell you what sex the baby is. If you’re craving citrus while pregnant, you’re having a girl.
GIRL- I have been loving fruits and definitely oranges and love lemons or lime in my water.
Adult Acne
If altering hormones makes your skin break out, expect a girl.
GIRL- I’d say I’ve had some breakouts, but thought it was mainly because I was off birth control.
Graceful or Clumsy Pregnancy
If you feel as though you’re gliding through they day, you’ll have a girl. Stumbling? It’s a boy.
I guess GIRL because I don’t really feel clumsy, although I don’t feel that I’m “gliding” either.
Face Weight Gain
If your face gets fuller, it means you’re having a girl.
GIRL- one of the first things I recognized when I found out I was pregnant was that my faced felt fuller like I was retaining fluids. And it still feels that way now.
Sugar and Spice Food Cravings
Craving salt during pregnancy? Potato chips, pretzels, and popcorn means a boy is on the way. Need a little something sweet? Ice cream, chocolate, and candy means you’re having a girl.
GIRL- Sweets for sure!
Mood Changes
If you’re experiencing pregnant mood-swings, expect a baby girl to arrive soon.
BOY- I don’t think I’ve really had crazy mood swings.
High or Low Pregnant Belly
If you’re carrying the baby low on your stomach, expect a boy. If it’s high, you’re having a girl.
NEITHER- too early to tell
Baby Weight
If you’re carrying baby in front, it’s a boy. Is the baby weight spaced all around your middle? It’s a girl.

Model Your Hands
“Show me your hands.” If you would hold your hands palms up it’s a girl. Down? You’re having a boy.
BOY- I think I would show them palms down to show off my manicure 🙂
Even and Odd Numbers
If your age and year of conception are both even or odd, it’s girl. One even, one odd means a boy.
BOY- 27 and 2012
Baby’s Heartbeat
If the baby’s heart beats more than 150 times per minute, you’re pregnant with a girl. Less than 150, it’s a boy.

Stress Test
A child tends to be of the same sex as the parent who is less stressed at the time of conception.
GIRL for sure. I’m always the least stressed 🙂
Dream Meanings
If you dream about having a girl while pregnant, you will wind up having a boy and vice versa.
I dont think that I’ve had a dream one way or another yet.
Breast Size
If your right breast is larger than the left while pregnant, you are having a girl. If the left is larger, it’s a baby boy.
BOY- they are huge already, but if I had to say one was bigger I think it might be the left.

Ha! Well that didn’t work out so well for me. We will find out the sex in a few weeks, but at this point, we truly just want a healthy baby…boy or girl. I can’t wait to find out and share the news with ya’ll!!
