What to Bring and Buy for Disney World

Several of you asked about clothing and other things we purchased to take on our trip.  Honestly, there is so much good Disney apparel out there depending on your style; but I will share a few that I found.   It’s fun to start hunting for these items to get you in the Disney spirit 🙂

 {One}

Mickey Mouse Clothing!  I found several really cute items from Smocked Auctions.  You can check back from time to time because sometimes they have more items than others, but you can usually find something cute.

You can also find some great items on Etsy! My sweet friend made the cutest shirts for the kids to wear to Disney.  She’s not currently taking orders on her Etsy shop, but here a few cute shops that you can find Disney appliqués : GigiBabies , DuSorrellnc.  I love this cute Prince Charming top for boys too.

Autograph Book

We got our cutest autograph book from SecondSistersDesigns.  They were super fast on the shipping because of course I waited until the last minute and didn’t realize how important it was to have an autograph book!  This is perfect to throw in your backpack that you take to the parks and all of the characters sign it for the kids.  You can definitely buy one when you get down there, but will pay about $18 for a cheap one.

These are the magic bands from our family that Disney sent us for staying on Disney property.  They are used as your room key, credit card, admission into the parks, etc.  It’s basically your life lien while you are in Disney.

Stroller Sign

These stroller signs really are a lifesaver in Disney.  Mine’s falling down here, but they are so nice to have on your stroller to identify amongst the millions of strollers in the park.  Sometimes they have to rearrange your strollers while you are on a ride and it can be tough to spot again.  We ordered ours from ScooterBugBoutique and they were so quick and easy to work with.  Plus it’s great because we can use it again for another trip to Disney if we go 🙂

Disney Apps

There are several great Disney apps out there to download for free.  My Disney Experience is a must-have for everyone going to Disney.  The Undercover Tourist Orlando was a great app for touring plans at each park or wait times and crowd calendars.  There is also a Wait Times for Disney World app that is simple, but works great and a Magic Guide to Disney World that gives a few maps, restaurants and park hours.

What am I missing?  What was your favorite thing you purchased for your Disney World vacation??

    Sounds like you have lots of nice items for the kids. Be careful though with the bands. Kids tend to lose them very easily. Have fun and share stories of your trip when you return. Disney is definitely magical.

  4. We bought an adorably illustrated hardcover Disney storybook and use that as an autograph book! The characters can sign on the inside cover, or on the page of their story. It’s so cute and a great keepsake! Plus the book cost just about the same amount as the autograph books they sell in the gift shops.
    Looks like you guys had a great time!
