Disney World Day One | Traveling to the Four Seasons + Magic Kingdom

For my Disney lovers out there, I have a ton of posts in the making for you!! I want to get them all out as soon as possible while its fresh on my mind, but I hate to bombard those readers that have not yet been bit by the magic of Disney World ☺️. Today, I am sharing our first day at Disney World with a full agenda at the very end!

I will share an entire review of our hotel, The Four Seasons Orlando, in another post and answer lots of Disney questions from all of you in separate post also.

I write these detailed posts from each of our days because this is honestly what I looked for when I was planning our very first Disney trip as well as this one.  I wanted to see where people stayed, what park they went to, where they ate each meal, and what exact fast passes they booked for each day.  You can read our detailed posts from last year here.

For both of our trips we have taken so far, we have booked them within 6 weeks of going.  It has worked for us, but it does limit what fast passes and restaurant reservations that you can get.  Last year, I used a Disney Travel agent and this year I just did is all on my own by using the My Disney Experience website.

We left for Disney on a Friday morning.  Our morning literally went as smooth as possible.  Our flight was on time, the kids were so well behaved at the airport and on the flight and we were in Orlando in no time!  We chose to fly this year (as opposed to an 7 or 8 hour drive) because my husband was going to be staying in Orlando for a conference after our trip and I didn’t want to drive home by myself with the kiddos.

We arranged Mears Transportation to pick us up from the airport to take us to the hotel. They provided a car seat and a booster seat for the kids and it was such a comfortable ride.

We checked into our hotel at the Four Seasons and grabbed a quick lunch at PB&G because we were starving.

We settled into our room quickly after lunch and then the kids were all anxious to head straight to Magic Kingdom.

When we arrived, it was about 4:30pm and we could still see all the Christmas decorations that were all still out.  I was so excited to see it still decorated!

We hit all 3 of our Fast Passes (the Speedway, Buzz Lighyear, and Belle Enchanted) and then watched a few minutes of a parade right in front of the castle beautifully lit up for the holidays.

I’m so glad that we went that night because it ended up being the only time that we made it to the park at night time.  It was so gorgeous to see it all lit up.

We headed back to the hotel for a late dinner at Ravello and got to bed so we were ready for our big day on Saturday!

We got home from the parks, had a very late dinner at our hotel’s restaurant, Revello.  Then headed up to our room to get a good night sleep so we could wake up for another big day. The housekeeping pulled out our sofa bed for us and made this cozy little bed for the kiddos.  I loved watching them sleep together each night.
