Where do you live? I live in Pensacola, FL which is where I grew up and was born in New Orleans, LA.
Why did you start your blog? Originally because I loved reading other blogs and I found it a fun way to keep up with all of my friends after college that moved all over the country. Then I loved it as an online diary when I got married and we were about to build our first home. We were also pregnant with our first child and I loved it as a creative outlet and a way to communicate with other moms-to-be.
What’s the meaning behind your blog name? We were in the middle of building our new home and I felt like Home of Malones had a good ring to it. Plus I felt like it pretty much covered everything life + style that I might want to write about.
Where did you go to school & what did you major in? I went to the University of Florida and majored in Finance and Entrepreneurship. I graduated in 2007 and moved to Atlanta to work in the mortgage business. I left the mortgage business after two years and started working in the family business of home building.
What is the grey paint color in your home? Repose Gray by Sherwin Williams
What color are your kitchen cabinets? Decorators White by Benjamin Moore
What is your kitchen counter top? It’s a marble called White Rhino from Africa.
