It’s a Girl…and she already has a Name!

Thank you all so much for your kind words and support on Friday (via Instagram) with our news of having a little girl!! We are beyond excited!!  We feel so blessed to get to experience one of each.  I’m sorry for making ya’ll wait all day Friday for the news, but our appointment was not until late in the afternoon!
We invited our family over for dinner Friday night so we could surprise them with the news.  Matt and I found out at the sonogram and then we kept our mouths shut until we cut the cake with the family.  They were all thrilled.  
We picked up a strawberry pie from Publix on our way home from the sonogram and had them cover the whole thing up with cool whip.  That’s what we used to share the news with the family!

Here’s a cute cake my Mom picked up to enjoy and she wrote “it’s a girl” when we shared the news!!

Sorry of the poor quality.  It was sent to me from someone else’s phone so the quality was bad. 

I also shared the news on instagram (@homeofmalones) that we already received our first monogram for baby girl Malone.  I don’t even know what to do with myself over these precious little bloomers.  It was so cruel of me to share this cute monogram, but fail to actually share her name!  I had your curious minds thinking…..

Matt and I have been very lucky in the name department as we have been SUPER decisive.  We had Brody’s name completely picked out before we were even pregnant with him and this girl name has been picked out since we were pregnant with Brody.  The middle name with slightly up in the air, but once we got pregnant this time, we had our minds made up!
Her name is Madelyn Faye Malone. 
Madelyn is a name we loved and we both agreed we wanted her to be M-M.  My husband is Matt Malone and I was Annie Adams growing up and we love the alliterations.  Faye is a family name.  It was my Grandmother’s name on my Mom’s side.  I love that it is short and sweet and has that family tie!  So there you have it 🙂
I’ll be back tomorrow to share the rest of our Easter weekend.  It was quite the busy and fun weekend!

    What a beautiful name for a baby girl. I can't wait to see how you dress her, as Brody has got to be one of the best dressed little boys! I have a 13 month old grandson and love the clothes you choose for your son.

Isn't it fun to start seeing all the precious monograms and pink things? I never thought I'd love pink after being all about little boy blue for the last 2 years, but I am taking to the pink like a duck to water:) Congrats again!

    I think this is so awesome because you just knew you were having a girl!! When I saw her initials on IG I wondered if it was going to be Madelyn! Love the name!! Definitely one of my favorites too! This gets me so excited to find out the sex of our baby!!
