Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Sneak Peek

Hey friends!! It’s already that time of year again… How could it be??  I’m still relishing summer and now Nordstrom’s is trying to make us buy Fall and Winter clothes already!!   This sale always sneaks up on me and even though I get really excited about it, I get a little sad to say goodbye to summer too soon.

Here’s the deal:

The sale starts on July 13th for anyone that is a Nordstrom’s card holder.  It wasn’t until last year that I finally bit the bullet to apply for a card so that I could shop the sale early.   It really does make a HUGE difference.   I just got the Nordstrom’s debit card so that I wouldn’t have to worry with another credit card.  I love it because I still receive all the bonus points to get Nordstrom’s rewards and I get this early access.  You can apply for yours here.

If you don’t have a card, that’s okay too.  You can shop the sale from July 21 to August 6th!

This sale works differently than most.  Typically, a retailer has a sale to turn over inventory from the prior season to make room for new shipments.   In this case, Nordstrom’s is marking down (30% or more) BRAND NEW clothes arriving for Fall and Winter so that we can shop them early and then will be putting them back to full price on August 7th!  It’s a crazy concept, but it’s so fun.  I love seeing the mark downs and trying to snag some fun new items.

What I Purchased Last Year:

Here’s a screenshot of items that I purchased last year during the sale!  I made one big order on the very first day or two and then I made one more purchase at the end.  Looking at these photos seems a bit embarrassing that I purchased so much, but a lot these tops were very inexpensive and I wanted to load up for the Fall to use them for layering.  I also got a couple of great cardigans that aren’t pictured below.   I love the longer length of these. 

What I Have My Eye On This Year:

I love to get a few pair of jeans during the sale.  I’m honestly not sure that I need another pair this year though, so I need to sort through what I already own and see what I still love and get rid of others!  Nordstrom’s usually puts some really cute Tory Burch and Rebecca Minkoff purses on sale that I love and then some great winter boots.   I love to get a few casual tops that I can wear with jeans for Fall and also snag a couple of beauty products that I’ve had my eye on.  I swear by these Spanx Bra-llujah bras and I don’t wear anything but Hanky Panky undies!
