Our Anniversary Weekend in Rosemary Beach

April 21st Matt and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary.  We decided to take the kids and enjoy a weekend down in Rosemary Beach.  We lucked out with gorgeous weather and the perfect little carriage house to spend a three day weekend.   This is the third time we have rented a one bedroom carriage house while staying there and we love it.  The Bontemps cottage felt the largest to us and worked out perfectly.  They had bunkbeds for the kids which they were obsessed with and it also had a pool that we were able to use because no one was staying in the main house during our stay.

We arrived on Thursday evening, we unpacked and headed straight out to the beach.  The kids ran around and played in the sand while we listened to music.

That night we decided to try a new place for dinner.  We love Italian and headed to Amici 30A.  The atmosphere of the restaurant was awesome and we wanted to love the food, but were a bit disappointed. After dinner we walked next door to Marble Slab and all indulged in some ice cream.

Friday we spent a full day at the beach. It was gorgeous.

Heres a better look at the swimsuit because I had a lot of questions about it.  I love the ruffle detail and found the coverage to be great on the rear!

Pop Up Pool

The kids were pooped after a full day at the beach.  We took them to an early dinner to La Crema.  They love the tapas dessert, so we can always bribe them to be good 🙂

Saturday was another full day at the beach.  We fueled up for the day at a new-to-us breakfast spot called Big Bad Breakfast.  It was crowded and the food was really good.  I think it will become a new staple.  At the beach, we lucked out by having a mini pool right in front of our chairs.  The kids played in there forever!

Madelyn with that pony tail was just killing me that day.  I love it!

Don’t mind my big belly in this photo….

Saturday was our anniversary, so we had a babysitter that night and got to enjoy dinner just the two of us.   We had reservations at a new rooftop restaurant in Rosemary called Pescado.   The atmosphere was awesome and the food was really good.  We actually had a table inside, but I think next time I would ask for an outdoor table.  The views were awesome and the vibe felt very “Hamptons.”   We had drinks after dinner at our favorite bar at the Pearl Hotel and then called it a pretty early night.

Sunday we had breakfast at Cowgirl Kitchen before we had to pack up and leave.  On our way out of town, the kids wouldn’t let us leave without stopping by Charlies Donuts in Alys Beach.  We are always sad to say goodbye, but looking forward to another trip this summer!

We are gonna have to bite the bullet and make a trip here. Everyone loves it. We are in Middle Alabama so it isn’t that far…

How SWEET is that picture of M kissing your belly? Oh my gosh that melts me. My mom has a picture of me kissing her belly the exact same way when she was pregnant with my baby sister. So sweet!
