Our Weekend | Anniversary and Atlanta

Last week was Matt and I’s 4 year wedding anniversary! It honestly just snuck up on us, but thankfully we were able to sneak away for a delicious dinner at Restaurant Iron and have a fun little date night.  I made him pose for the obligatory anniversary picture since we were all fancy and of course Brody wanted in on the action.
I picked up this cute white tassel dress during the Shopbop sales even this Spring and love it.  It’s a little shorter in the front than I remembered it, but I love that it’s longer in the back! I wore it with my very favorite wedges from last summer by Tory Burch.  I’m sad to say that they did not bring them back this year.  The pop of blue is my favorite!!!
Typically I am the one that is always in the mood for dessert; but I was so full after our anniversary dinner, I wasn’t going to suggest it.  The restaurant knew it was our anniversary, so they were already giving us one on the house and I’m so glad they did!! This was two peanut butter cookies with chocolate ice cream in the middle.  That is my ideal dessert!!! They served it with the cutest raspberry mini milkshake too which I sadly didn’t try because it didn’t mix well with my wine 🙂
Friday, I flew out for a close friend of the families wedding weekend in Atlanta.  We had gone back and forth with this weekend trying to decide if we would bring the entire family including kids and make a family trip of it or just one or both of us go.  At the end of the day, we are total wimps and the thought of 6+ hours in the car with two kids for such a short trip deterred us.
My Mom and I went together and hubby was kind enough to watch the kiddos.  The rehearsal dinner was beautiful at Piedmont Park in ATL.
Saturday was full of shopping at my favorite malls and an afternoon blow out at the blow dry bar.
I had brought a totally different dress to wear to the wedding which I wasn’t super excited about, but happy to wear again.  As luck would have it, I found the prettiest bright dress while we were out shopping.  The dress is by Trina Turk and I have searched high and low online to try and find it and can’t find it anywhere.  I bought it at Sak’s and hopefully it will be online soon!! It is the most fun neon orange color that I love.  It makes you look really tan 🙂
I also picked up these super cute Vince Camuto heels that I got soo many compliments on! They have some fun colors in them that should be fun to wear all summer long!
Sorry Mom (eyes closed)!  It’s the only full length photo I had to show off the shoes! Her shoes are pretty awesome too!  They are the low heel Valentino’s that I adore.
The wedding was gorgeous at the Biltmore Ballrooms in Midtown Atlanta with the most fun band with 10 guys called As If or something like that.  That’s not the name, but it’s simple like that.

I snuck in a quick breakfast with my girlfriends in Atlanta that I hadn’t seen in way too long and off to the airport I went.  I came home to some fun family time and snuggles.  My brother’s family stopped by on their way home from the baseball game and in a matter of minutes, I looked into the play room and these boys had created this mess.  I swear it takes them two seconds and then they look so sweet and innocent!!! haha.  Welcome home, Mom 🙂

Happy humpday and hope you are having a great week!!!
