Scenes from Our Weekend | Christmas Parade, Party and Santa

This first weekend of December is always a crazy busy one for us.  We have our company Christmas party and lots of friends that come in town for that as well as a city Santa parade and our Country Club Santa brunch!!! It always falls on the same weekend together, but it is a fun way to kick off a festive month!

We’ve been doing a very mediocre job with our Elf, but Brody is totally into him and loves the excitement of searching for him every morning.

Friday night we had a sitter and met our friends for drinks and dinner downtown.  I snapped this quick picture of my pink ruffle top that I love before heading out the door.

Saturday morning our friends host a Christmas party at their house for the city Santa parade that rides by.  They set up a bounce house this year for the kids, we all ate, played and watched Santa come by on the fire truck.  It was a little cooler that morning and was fun to watch the kids catch a whole new load of candy from the parade.  I swear I just got rid of the Halloween candy and now we have a whole new stash!

Saturday evening was our Christmas party.  I wore the cutest new red lace dress that I loved.  It was fun seeing lots of girls in lace at the party in different colors.  I love how festive the red is.

Sunday we attempted to take family photos in the morning.  Of course it hasn’t rained here in like three months and it rains Sunday morning for our photos.  We were still able to shoot, but our pictures didn’t turn out great.  Madelyn was such a pistol and was pretty much screaming in every photo.

My shirt is part of the Who What Wear collection at Target right now. There are some super adorable pieces in that line to check out if you haven’t already.

After family pictures, we headed to the Country Club to see Santa and have brunch.  Brunch was actually a lot more relaxing than it has been in years past.  We went later than usual and it wasn’t too crowded and we got our Santa photos out of the way at the beginning.  You can see how well my kids did with him again this year…

Hope you had a great weekend too and look forward to a busy week ahead!
