Scenes From Our Weekend

Good Morning.  We had some of the most lovely weather this weekend.  It makes me so happy.  I actually busted out my winter slippers and begged hubby for a fire on Sunday, but we had no wood!!  I hope everyone had a great weekend too.

Thursday night, Matt and I went out to dinner with some friends of ours.  It was so nice out, we walked.  I wore my cozy off the shoulder sweater that I shared about last week.   This picture doesn’t show you the off the shoulder part that well because I was also trying to show off the sleeves.  How pretty is that sky?? We have been having the most vibrant skies lately too.

And this is my husbands dinner from that night that I had to share!  Holy moly.  This is some of steak with a crabmeat and andouille sausage topping and then he goes and its a fried soft shell crab on the side.  It was insane.  We were at Global Grill for my locals…

This was actually a sweet shot I snagged of the two of them right before we left for dinner.  Madelyn is all clean and ready for bed and wanted Daddy to read her new book to her.

Friday morning the kids and I had a leisure morning.  It is actually one of the first leisure mornings we have had in a long time on a weekday.  It did remind me how nice those can be since now we are always in the hustle and bustle of getting ready for school from Monday to Thursday.

Friday afternoon I snuck in a quick manicure and lunch with friends.  There is now a new manicure place right by my house in downtown called Deshi.  It is really nice on the inside and is one of those new non-toxic spas.

Saturday morning we all got up, rushed to get Brody in his soccer clothes, ran for a quick breakfast, all to find out that Brody’s soccer game got cancelled because of rain.  We went back to the house to chill and the kids started pulling out all of their costumes and wanting to wear them.  We didn’t have a Halloween event to go to, but we dressed up anyway 🙂

Team Star Wars 🙂

Saturday afternoon we went over to my brother and SIL’s house for a little football.  It was the Florida vs Georgia game and they also had a brief memorial service for their sweet dog Joe Lynard that passed this summer.  It was the cutest thing ever and how adorable are these cookies??

I wore another one of my new favorite sweaters for this game.  Ya’ll this FP Sweater is so soft!

On Sunday, we really had some cool temperatures roll in. It was so chilly outside, I loved it!!  We spent a couple hours being lazy and then we all got dressed and walked down the street to a great Sunday buffet.   The kids actually did awesome and the food was so yummy.

Madelyn is wearing a TBBC outfit from last year.

sweater | skirt | boots (old, similar) | purse | watch | sunnies

Ha! He had Tommy John surgery on his elbow. They had to reattach his tendon and clean up some scar tissue! No fun.

  3. Oh how jealous I am of your nail salon!! It’s so beautiful! We don’t have anything like that near me, so I usually just end up doing my own nails. #NotTheSame
