Scenes From Our Weekend

We had a cold front come through at the end of this week and it was amazing!! Did ya’ll see all the snow in the South this weekend???  Well, I’m sad we didn’t get any snow; but the cold weather was so much fun!

We built a fire every day this weekend and I loved it.  It made the house feel so cozy.

A few of you asked about our stockings when I posted this photo.  You can find them here.   They have been a family tradition in my family and I have loved adding ones for the kids.  I think each year they come out with a few new designs.

The kids pajamas are from here  and their Santa robes below are 50% off right now and you can find them here! Such a cute gift.

On Friday, I knocked out a few errands around town and met a friend for lunch.  I wore my Barbour jacket that I got for Christmas last year.  I love it because it’s the perfect weight for our climate.

Friday night President Trump was in Pensacola.  I am honestly one of the least political people you might ever meet. A friend of ours got us VIP tickets to go see him, so we did. He is our President.  But I posted this photo on my instastories, and all the haters came out.  It was actually amazing to see how many followers were lost after posting this.  It just makes me sad to see where our country is.

Saturday it was FREEZING!!!  We were hoping to get some snow that would stick Friday night, but we didn’t! I bundle the kids up in their adorable hats and scarves and we headed to breakfast and errands.

Saturday evening was the big Santa parade right by our house.  We bundled the kids up in their Oompa Loompa suits and strolled down for the parade.  We made it through most of the parade and headed home for bath and PJs.  Matt and I had a neighborhood Christmas party to go to and the kids hung with a sitter for a bit.

On Sunday, Brody has his very first Christmas recital.  All of the Pre-K classes at his school learned 4 Christmas songs to sing at church.  They were so adorable.  I loved hearing them sing and practice all the songs over the last couple of weeks and then to watch them all sing together in front of the entire congregation.  They did awesome.

We celebrated with a little Sunday brunch after church and then had a pretty relaxing Sunday evening.  I hope everyone had a great weekend!  I’m looking forward to a fun week ahead!

  1. I got a Barbour jacket this summer, after stalking Ebay. I’m so happy we finally had weather to wear it in! I actually think it’s the perfect jacket for Florida! I don’t think it would be warm enough in snow, but it’s great here!

Never commented, but sad to hear people would unfollow you simply for going to see the President. I live in Fairhope and wish I could have gone. Love your blog!

Your kiddos are seriously styling for the holidays! It’s a shame that people feel the need to judge others over their personal political views, I’m sorry that happened. 🙁

You know, when I watched your stories – I said to my husband, this woman is so sweet and I bet people will unfollow her or say unkind things just for the Trump story. Very sad to hear indeed that happened. You have a gorgeous family and I love your Pensacola blog. I will continue to follow!
