Scenes From Our Weekend

Hey friends!  Me and the kids started our weekend on Friday and were all excited to head down to Rosemary Beach to meet up with Natalie and her two boys for the third year in a row!! We just go down for the day and usually hang at the beach we them and get a few hours of visiting time.   Unfortunately, her son Matthew woke up with a bad cough and a fever on Friday morning and we weren’t able to get together.  We were both so sad.

Matt was on his annual managers weekend in Destin already and was going to be gone for the night, so me and the kids were planning to spend the night at my Aunt and Uncles house in Destin.  We decided to still go to Destin for the day even though we weren’t going to get to see Natalie.

I wore this cute tunic from HelloDobson and some new Loft scalloped maternity shorts that are already sold out.

So we headed to my Aunts house Friday afternoon and the kids spent hours in the pool!

We took the kids to the park in Baytowne Wharf, fed them pizza for dinner and then they wanted to go walk down to the beach.  Of course they ended up in the water and head fun playing in the waves.  Back we went for bath #2 of the day.

They were pooped at this point.  They tucked into bed and looked so cute sleeping together.

Saturday morning before 9am we had already ventured to the beach with our coffee, came home and jumped into the pool and then had eggs and bacon for breakfast! My Uncle is my Dad’s brother and since my Dad passed away when Brody was only 6 months old, it is extra special to see kids with him.   He treats them like his own grandkids.

On Saturday around lunch, we hopped in the car to head home.  Matt was heading home too and we all met back at home to  meet up with Matt’s sister and her family.

Before we went out to dinner that night, we stopped by the lot where we will be building a house in the next few months.  Several of you asked if we moved and the answer is not yet.  We will start building in a few months and will be lucky to move in by Christmas of next year or so.  But we went by to play on the pier and teach Brody how to fish.  He caught two small fish right of the pier.

That night we went to the beach to have dinner at Crabs.  They have hermit crab races with the kids and Brody’s crab won the race!  He got himself a new “bat crab” shirt!!

The kids wanted to spend the night with their cousins on Saturday night, so Matt and I had the house to ourselves!  We woke up and had a breakfast date at one of our favorite spots and then just got a few things done around the house while we waited for the kids to come home.  That afternoon, Matt took Brody back over to the pier to fish and he caught 3 big catfish. I couldn’t believe it.  There is a funny video on my instastoires if you missed it!

Sunday night we cooked a nice meal at home.  I made these crack potatoes that I shared on Instastories that are so good (not healthy) and roasted some veggies with a steak.  We had a wonderful weekend and now gearing up for the last week of school!!

Hi Annie! I’m newly pregnant and have always loved the way you dress your kids. I’m sure you’re saving most things for new baby (congrats!!!) but do you ever sell clothing or even gear?

Thanks Taylor! I started selling a few things on @shophomeofmalone awhile back, but have since stopped. This new baby girl is due within three days of Madelyn’s (my 2.5 year olds) birthday, so almost all of my girl clothes should work for this new baby. I will always announce here on the blog or through Instagram if I am planning on doing a sale. Eventually, I will sell more.
