Scenes From Our Weekend | Madelyn’s 3rd Pinkalicious Birthday

This weekend was a busy one! We celebrated Madelyn’s 3rd birthday with a small family dinner.  If it seems like we have already celebrated Madelyn’s birthday awhile ago, it is because we did.  We celebrated this summer with an Ice Cream party with friends and family because we thought we might be having a new baby right around her birthday this year.  So since we had Molly early, we decided to give Madelyn a little birthday Pinkalicious dinner.

I set up a few things the night before and put together her little vanity that I knew she would love.  She loves getting ready next to Mama these days with make-up and all the jewels!  So this little vanity was the perfect gift.

How cute is this??

The kids went to school on Friday and we brought cookies for Madelyn to celebrate with her friends.

While they were at school, Molly and I met some friends for lunch.  It was our first stroller ride and I forgot how much babies love this!  We ate lunch al fresco style and she literally just slept in this bassinet the entire time!  She was an angel.

Friday evening everyone came over for dinner and we celebrated with sushi, pizza and cupcakes!

On Saturday morning, Brody had a soccer game that Matt took him to.  I stayed home with the girls and we had “girl time.”  Madelyn wanted to wear her new makeup and get her nails painted. So pretty.

Saturday night was Matt and I’s first big outing out since having 3 kids.  We had a wedding to go to and my MIL was up for babysitting the kids, so we went for it!  We had a blast and loved getting to visit with friends!  How beautiful is the bride???

Sunday we took the kids out to breakfast!  I mentioned in my stories that we love to bring the baby when she is this young and all she does is sleep.  When you have your first baby, you feel like you can’t go anywhere, but that’s not true!  Take them out now because it only gets harder as they get older and more mobile.

I was so tired from our night out on Saturday that I made both the girls nap with me on Sunday afternoon.  We had another party to go to Sunday evening, so I wanted to make sure everyone was well rested!!

My oldest brother was in town visiting, so my Mom had all of us over to her house for a nice dinner! We brought all the kids over to play and Brandon got to meet Molly for the first time.  It was so nice and a perfect way to wrap up a great weekend!

I hope everyone is having a great week.  I feel like I’m definitely playing catch up around here.  I have a thousand things I want to get done, but little time to do it.  I need to let a few things go and just enjoy baby snuggles instead of worry about a clean house!

Oh that insert is old. I’m pretty sure I must have just ordered it off Amazon. I didn’t even remember having it, but it was perfect for the bassinet to make her feel super cozy!

The tassel garland is old from Target and the pink tissue fans are from Shop Sweet Lulu.
