Scenes From Our Weekend | The Masters

Disclaimer :: This was truly an epic weekend 🙂

Occasionally, I get to benefit from some of Matt’s work trips and this happened to be one! We got invited to go to Augusta for the weekend to watch the Master’s!  The trip was fully planned for us and all we had to do was go and have a blast!

There are basically no hotels in the town, so they rented this enormous 7 bedroom home and we were pampered all weekend long.

We arrived Friday night and had dinner at the house with the rest of the crew we were meeting up with.  On Saturday morning, the four ladies got to attend the Master’s all by ourself while the boys went and played a round of golf at an exclusive course called Sage Valley.

We ate our weight in the traditional Egg Salad and Pimento Cheese sandwiches of the Master’s and sadly we don’t have any pictures of the course to show for it!   The weather turned out beautiful and we had fun following around Tiger, Jordan Speith, Bubba Watson, Ricky Fowler and plenty of others!  We shopped at the Golf Shop and it was seriously the most stressful shopping I’ve done in a long time!!  It was packed and the pressure to make decisions was giving me hives! ha!  But it really was crazy.

Our host for this trip were absolutely incredible and treated us like royalty.  They happened to be a blast too which made it extra fun!

The girls headed into the Masters…

my dress

and the boys playing Golf!

They came to cook for us each night and the food was incredible.

On Sunday, the boys headed to the final day of the Masters and the girls hit the spa all day at Sage Valley.  They lined up massages, facials, mani, pedis and lunch! It was crazy.

And during our time at the spa, LOOK WHO CAME!!!  I was in my robe, drinking a mimosas, fresh out of a facial (so I had no make-up on), and Mark Wahlberg walks through the door!  I couldn’t miss my opportunity for a photo even though I looked horrible and he couldn’t have been sweeter!  He just had a massage, so he was looking a little rough and I’m not digging that facial hair at all; but he was awesome!!  Were pretty much best friends now 😂

We had a delicious lunch with some ridiculous desserts…

And then the guys came to join us to celebrate Tiger Woods victory before we had to head to the airport to get home!!

We were so sad to say goodbye because it was such a blast!

Our kiddos were in such good hands with their Grammy and my SIL having the time our their lives and being spoiled rotten!  How hilarious is this??

I’m pretty sure I need that trip every single year now! It was the BEST!

    Aw man! That’s my town!

There are hotels, they’re just booked! Our house is rented out yearly and the same group has stayed the past 5 years!

Mark Wahlberg is an Augusta staple during Masters Week. I swear he’s everywhere.

So glad you enjoyed your trip!

Sounds like a great trip. My son is a caddie for a course here outside of Detroit and has seen Mark from time to time on the course. He’s talked with him and found him to be extremely kind, gracious and welcoming of his fans. He’s a huge golf fanatic and likes to golf very early in the morning.

Haha yes!! He had a 630am tee time the morning I saw him! Apparently he sprints between shots!
