Scenes From Our Weekend | April Celebrations

Happy Monday, Friends!! I actually feel like I have too much stuff to cram into one post today, but I’m going to do it anyway.  We had a busy weekend full of a lot of fun celebrations to hit this weekend.  I actually drove over to New Orleans with just my Mom on Friday afternoon to go visit with family and celebrate my cousin who is getting married this summer.  Friday night happened to be her 30th birthday and then Saturday night was her engagement party.  We had a blast visiting and catching up with family and kicking of their wedding festivities.

They threw a gorgeous outdoor party at their house on Friday evening to celebrate her birthday.

These oysters were SO AMAZING.  I was obsessed.  These two cute girls own this company called Two Girls, One Shuck and they travel around to parties with this set up.  They display these delicious raw oysters and then also do grilled oysters with some type of garlic, butter and parmesan mixture.  They were heavenly.  I told them that I will definitely be calling them for a party soon 🙂

I wore this red tie front Mara dress that was fun for an outdoor party.

And this one the 30th birthday girl…my adorable cousin 🙂

Saturday morning was gorgeous! I actually woke up at about 7am on my own and I was determined that I was going to sleep in because I didn’t have the kids with me.  It took me awhile to fall back asleep, but then I didn’t wake up until 10am!!!!! It was amazing.    A bunch of us went to brunch at Kenton’s on Magazine St. and we were able to sit outside which was so nice.  I’m a Benedict addict and this one did not disappoint.

After brunch, I decided not to head down to the French Quarter festival (which I know was really fun) and meet up with some friends to walk and shop down Magazine St. for a little bit.  We hopped into several stores and also went to Rivers Spencer Interiors show room.  If you love home decor, you are probably already following her on Instagram.  She has gorgeous taste and a beautiful Insta feed!

Saturday night was the engagement party in New Orleans.  It was at a friends house on the rooftop of a gorgeous Warehouse District apartment.  I did a terrible job of taking a few pictures before it got dark, but the views were stunning!

I wore this Mara one shoulder dress for the party.  This was a dress that I thought was pretty cute when I saw it online and then I became obsessed with it when I saw how vibrant and pretty the colors were once it arrived at my house.  It’s on the short side which I always struggle with, but I still loved it.

Sunday morning, my Mom and I drove back really early in the morning to head to Pensacola.  My nephew was getting baptized and I’m the God Mother!! So we got our butts in gear and headed home.

I was excited to get home and see the babies and do some more celebrating.

I wore another one shouldered ruffle dress (whoops) on Sunday.  The white seems to be sold out, but it comes in black, blue (so pretty), orange and navy too!! They are all adorable.

Sunday afternoon was a Master’s themed party to celebrate the baptism and also celebrate my nephew’s 3rd birthday!! It was lots of fun seeing the kids run and play on 100 different toys and the adults ate, watched the master’s and tried to keep track of our kids 🙂

Phew, I hope you made it to the end!! It was a fun one!  I’ll be recovering for the rest of the day 🙂

  3. Ok, so that Oyster bar set up is GENIUS! We love to have oysters, but it’s a lot of work and someone always gets stuck at the grill. Having it catered is awesome! I love that idea. What a fun weekend for you! Lots of chances to get dressed up.
