Scenes from our Weekend | My Birthday

Morning friends!! We celebrated my 32nd birthday this weekend at home with a few plans and a gorgeous few days.  On Friday I made this delicious Raspberry Cream Cheese French Toast bake that I could throw in the fridge and bake on Saturday morning.  It was so good.   Go make it today to have for Valentine’s tomorrow!

Friday night we had a Mardi Gras Ball to attend.  Matt and I grabbed dinner with friends and then headed to the ball.  I feel terrible and am so sad to report that I don’t have one picture from the night.  Matt looked so handsome in his tuxedo and I looked hilarious in my black and white clown suit that I was required to wear!  It’s part of the transition.  I’ll share with you when we get the professional photos back that they took at the event!

Saturday we hung around most of the day and I went to a cute kids show for Bella Bliss.  My Mom watched Madelyn for us that afternoon, so that we could go take Brody to see SING at the movie theater.  I love that he gets excited to go see a movie now because it’s an excuse for Matt and I to go too!!  We grabbed some pizza on the way home from the theater to have a quiet night at home.

Sunday was my birthday!! We had a super fun family breakfast at the house with a Valentine’s theme and special Krispy Kreme donuts! The weather was super warm and as soon as the sun burned off all the fog, we were ready to hit the beach!

Brody was determined to wear his swimsuit even though I wasn’t sure that we would really be able to get in the water.  We had some lunch at a restaurant right on the beach and the kids just played and played.  They had a ball playing in the Gulf and the fact that it was cold didn’t bother them a bit.

That night we had some family over for a grill out and birthday celebration.  The kids made sure to help me blow out the candles and our quiet, low-key celebration was just what the doctor ordered!! Because guess what??  We leave for Disney this week!!  I can’t wait 🙂

Thank you to those that sent me sweet birthday texts, wrote notes on facebooked or on Instagram!  They were so appreciated. It’s always wonderful to hear from my blog friends.

Lastly, anyone that didn’t get a chance to enter the giveaway last week for the $500 Nordstrom’s gift card, be sure to do it today!!! Good luck because I know I would love that 500 dollars for my new Spring wardrobe 🙂
