I hope everyone had a wonderful Father’s Day weekend. We’ve had a lot of rain around here lately, so we were happy to see some sunshine this weekend. We had a pretty nice weekend planned for Father’s Day. We started Friday night off with a double date night out with some friends of ours. I forgot to take any pictures, but we had a ton of fun!
Saturday morning we woke up and cooked some breakfast at home. We got the kids dressed and went to go visit Matt’s Dad. His Dad has had Parkinson’s disease for 10+ years which is always sad to see. He was happy to watch the kids play and celebrate Father’s Day with us though.
Saturday afternoon we went to a Memorial Service for a friend of ours. It was casual and well done, but so sad to say goodbye to someone far too young. I just pray for this family that has had far too much loss in one year.
Saturday night we grilled hamburgers and blew up the bounce house in the back yard for the kids to play on. It was fun to catch up and watch these kiddos all play together.
Sunday was Father’s Day and we let Daddy pick the day! We went to breakfast at one of our favorite spots. We headed home to change into our swimsuits and then headed to the boat. We took the boat to a little island for the day where we could swim and play on the beach. We made a full day out of it and the kids were worn out by the end!!!
We came home for our favorite grapefruit martinis and pizza! Very fancy :). It was a great day and fun celebrating Matt.
