Holy moly, what a week!! Between 4th of July, Blue Angel weekend and a Journey concert thrown in the middle; this Mama is pooped! We had a great weekend filled with lots of fun.
I left these kiddos on Thursday to head to Orange Beach, AL to meet Matt and some friends to go see Journey. We got there Thursday afternoon and made a couple of stops on the way. We stopped at Florabama and then headed to our condo for the night to change and get ready for dinner and the show!
We had dinner at Fisher’s which was so good. These oysters were incredible and I could have made a meal off of those!
It was definitely hot when we got to the show, but the outdoor amphitheater was so fun! Have any of you guys been to see a show here before??
We had such a good time at the show. Journey has so many songs that you would recognize or know and they are so fun to sing along too. We woke up to this gorgeous view in Orange Beach, but everyone had to get home on Friday morning; so we didn’t even get to enjoy it!
Friday is the practice show for the Blue Angels, so we picked up the kids and took them to a friends house to watch the show. Brody has never really gotten to see a full show and they had a blast!
Our friends had this awesome water pad that several of you asked about from my Instastories this weekend. She found her’s at Sam’s Club (see here) and I’ve found them on Amazon but they are a little more expensive.
Saturday we were up early and went out on a friends boat for the day!! It was a big 56 ft fishing boat and was so much fun to watch the blues on. We actually went out into the Gulf to watch the show which I’ve never done before and we got the BEST views. They were flying directly over us, you felt like you could touch them!
I’m always sad to say goodbye to Blue Angel weekend each year. We had way too much fun! On Sunday, we hung with the kids who we had seemed to neglect most of the weekend. My SIL was in town and came to play with them all weekend and we all went down to the pool and had a pretty low-key day!
Cheers to a productive week my friends!!!
