Scenes From Our Weekend | NYE

We were supposed to be out of town this year for New Years, but we had to cancel our trip after Christmas for sick kiddos.  We ended up enjoying some very lazy days around the house that included a little packing of holiday decor, playing with new Christmas toys, sick time snuggles and spending time with family!

Matt and I snuck out for a daytime date of bar hopping through downtown Pensacola, met up with my brothers for an early dinner, went to a friends house to ring in NYE and watched lots of football in the man cave.  It all worked out and now I’m working on getting organized and back on routine for the new year.  The kids start back school next week which always helps the routine life 🙂

Thanks gal! Today I took Madelyn to Doc for follow-up and she was warning me that since Madelyn had RSV so early in the season that it could mean bad things all winter!! (whaa). Apparently they tend to be more susceptible to getting sick again after they have had the RSV during cold and flu season!!

I love that spicy shrimp pasta but that is actually called Crawfish Monica. It’s a New Orleans specialty and is so delicious. You can find the recipe online, but you may have a hard time finding crawfish.
