Matt and I just got home from a wonderful 4 days and nights in Rosemary Beach with friends. We had this trip on the books for probably 9 months. We were all supposed to go down to the British Virgin Islands for a week and sail through the islands on a catamaran, but after Hurricane Irma destroyed these beautiful islands; we all had to scramble and try to regroup. We went back and forth with a million different options, but at the end of the day; we all had taken time off work, organized child care and were dying for our getaway. So we agreed on 4 nights in Rosemary Beach which is just a short 2 hour drive away and something we could pull together quickly. Thankfully, we were able to receive our deposits back from our trip and get credits on our flights. So maybe one day, we will get to reschedule!
Anyway, here is a look at our trip…
We rented the coolest house in Rosemary which was less than a block away from the beach and the Pearl Hotel. It had the best rooftop deck with lounge chairs and a dip pool. We loved it!
After we checked in and got settled on Wednesday evening, we headed to dinner our first night to Edwards. It’s a quaint restaurant that has a wonderful courtyard area with a little live music. I always enjoy it!
Thursday was our first full day. We enjoyed coffee on our rooftop and made a game plan for the day. We squeezed in some beach time, had lunch at the house, grabbed a dip in the pool and got ready for another night out to dinner!
This dress is 60% off right now with code Summer60!
Thursday night we grabbed drinks at the bar of the Pearl Hotel. As we were walking to dinner we had the prettiest double rainbow! We snagged a few great photos with it. After drinks, we had dinner outside at La Crema in Rosemary. It is a tapas restaurant and we loved being able to sit outside.
Friday was gorgeous again. We all parked back at the beach for the day. The water was mostly very calm the entire time we were there and then the waves would pick up just a little bit by the afternoons. The water was so clear and beautiful too!
White Bathing Suit (on sale)
Friday evening we got dressed up and headed to Restaurant Paradis in Rosemary. Again, we were able to sit outside and it was so nice.
On Saturday, the boys were very excited to be able to watch football with no kids around!! They decided to go hit up the sports bar and the girls all took the day to enjoy the beach, shop, have a fun lunch, and bike around all day!
After a couple of hours at the beach, we enjoyed lunch at George’s at Alys Beach. It was so delicious. Right next door is this really cute new bar called Neat. Some of our friends happened to be there and we all got to meet up. We visited, drank rose and laughed a lot!! It was so much fun.
We loved being able to walk and bike everywhere. It was so convenient. We cooked a nice steak dinner at home that night and were all getting sad it was almost time to leave!! I can’t recommend Rosemary enough. We have now enjoyed trips there both with kids and without and it’s lovely both ways!!
