Should I SheIn??

So today I’m sharing a few new things that I purchased yesterday.  Have you guys heard of the brand SheIn?  I have been seeing it around for a little while now and honestly been avoiding it on purpose.  In the past, I always found that brands that were quite inexpensive just never fit me well.  Think Forever 21, Lulu’s, and a lot of time ASOS or Topshop.  I always felt like the sizing ran small, everything was too short or too tight and it just made me frustrated.  It felt like it was made for really skinny teenagers.  Anybody else agree with me?  Well, I decided to give this Shein brand a try for myself and I ordered these NINE pieces yesterday.  Yall, my total bill was $128!  Shipping was free and they supposedly have a 60 day free return policy (I’ll keep you posted on this). This post is not sponsored at all.  I just started seeing the cutest clothes from them and decided I wanted to try it for myself.  Here’s what I got:

So the verdict is out on whether I like it or not or if any of it fits, but one of the nice things on the website is that there is a lot of feedback from customers.   They do a pretty good job of letting you know how the items run in sizing and also sharing photos via social media of them in the dresses.  I did find that helpful.  I’m anxious to see what I think of these pieces on and would be thrilled if a few of them worked!!  I remember watching this video of Kate from Lonestar Southern a few months back reviewing her purchases from Shein and be quite happy with them!

So please share with me, have you purchased anything from Shein?  I would love to hear what you thought of it!

  3. I LOVE Shein, but you are so right that everything runs super small. Depending on the cut and fit, I sometimes have to order larges which I never wear from any other stores. I’ve ordered probably 10 or so tops and dresses from there over the last year and I did have to send 2 or 3 back. Also beware that shipping sometimes takes FOREVER. That’s standard for them, though. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the quality of the items, though. They are not cheap feeling or flimsy at all. They are all very well made.

Yes! I’m so interested to see how these look so please post a follow-up. I almost ordered the sleeveless palm print dress the other week. I had a terrible experience with SheIn years ago where the dress was one size fits all and it was literally child sized. They ended up only refunding me like half of the money. However, I gave them another shot a few months ago and the dress was adorable. So hopefully they have upped their game & their sizing!

I’ve never shopped there, but I know a lot of bloggers do and I haven’t heard any complaints. I’m interested to see what you think once you’re outfits arrive.

  6. I bought a few things from Shein a couple of years ago and the quality was so bad I have never purchased another thing from them. Unless things have changed a lot, I would never buy something from them. I also worry about something made that cheaply about the poor people doing the labor. How can they be paid a fair wage. The stuff the put out does photograph well on blogs but I am surprised how many bloggers don’t report the quality. I am interested to hear what you think. Maybe they have changed since my experience. Great post! Peace! Cheryl

I ordered like 8 pieces from SheIn about 3 months and ago and shipping took FOREVER! Anyways, I ended up only keeping one piece because of the weird sizing and fit of items. I was able to send it all back and get my money back finally. But I hope you have better luck than me!!

I was seriously thinking of writing a similar post! I ordered a dress and a cover up – the dress fit me size wise but was about 5 INCHES too short lol passing it along to a petite friend. The coverup was so perfect and I wear it constantly – but that was one size fits all. Shein… worth the money???

My New Years resolution was to not waste money buying cheap and trendy closet filler type clothing.. I started buying more expensive stuff ( it easier to care for) but less of it.. it lasts longer and I am buying less trendy items and having less clothes has been amazing for me. Instead of three cheaper dresses, I buy one at Nordstrom or jcrew . I have four kids and keeping up will all their stuff is plenty. I am loving my now half filled closet filled with all stuff I wear and want to wear !

Less stuff equals less to take care of and that makes me happy !

Can’t wait to see what you think of your items! I love the look of their stuff on-line, but the one size fits most sizing has been a turn off for me. I went to purchase some cute peplum tops and stopped when I saw the sizing. Hope they work out for you because I know people love it.

I have ordered from them twice! One order I loved, the other got lost in translation and never made it, they were quick to respond and offered me a refund or they would re-ship! I ordered that palm print suit you had on the other day from Amazon (cupshe) and it is SO cute on!!!

Aw I’m so glad you liked your Cupshe suit. That suit helped me gain a little confidence in the less expensive brands. I was very happy with the fit and quality!

I just discovered Shein recently & have been skeptical about ordering something! I’m really interested to hear about your items & how they fit. For the price, it almost seems to be good to be true but their dresses are so cute!

Shein can be SO good, but definitely good to read the reviews (which you did!) The sizing can be way off, some things super small, like dresses, and tops tend to run bigger. But the prices are SO good, and I think the quality is better than Forever! Can’t wait to hear what you think about it all!!

I have a tiny oriental friend who ordered from there and what she ordered was too small. I have ordered one item and I sized up and luckily it fit. The quality was fine. I have tried to order from other sites and gave up, the sizing is terrible and quality is non-existant. Also shipping does take forever.
