Sunday Spotlight : Project Nursery Surprise Baby Shower

In honor of what seems to be a TON of baby announcements in the blog world and all over Facebook (no, don’t worry, you didn’t miss one from me), I have taken the opportunity to spotlight an absolutely gorgeous event that I think a lot of you will enjoy and probably learn a few things from.

Project Nursery was one of my very favorite website’s to search when I was pregnant for Brody.  I found some of my favorite inspiration there when planning his nursery, but I also loved following their blog that offered lots of advice on pregnancy and great tips and ideas for baby products.

Melisa Fluhr, a Project Nursery Co-Founder, was just surprised with one of the most gorgeous baby showers I’ve ever seen by her co-workers and Rosie Pope Maternity.  If you haven’t heard of Rosie Pope, you must check out her Maternity Wear (and her adorable baby clothes).  I love the way she breaks it down by occasion: Baby Shower Maternity, Cocktail Maternity and Formalwear Maternity.  I remember trying to search high and low for cute baby shower dresses to wear to mine.  I would have loved for someone to have pulled the correct dresses for the occasion. Need less to say, Melisa is wearing one of Rosie Pope’s adorable maternity dresses to her baby shower.  Check out how cute she looks plus all the exquisite details of the big day:

I mean this decor couldn’t be more perfect.  They celebrated in the Penthouse of the Mondrian Soho.

I always love a great printed Menu (Minted) and I am dying over this simple and cute idea to place paper straws in Lifefactory glass bottles #presh.   Everyone at the party received these perfect black Skip Hop Diaper Bags filled with adorable goodies including a Kindle Fire!!

Of course a baby shower isn’t complete without the perfect photo booth and designated hashtag…

She also received my personal favorite stroller… The Uppababy Vista.  I love mine so much.  Do you see that basket???  You NEED an awesome basket like that.  My diaper bag always seems to be packed to the nine’s and I love that it still fits comfortably in the stroller.

Curious what else was on this hip Mom’s baby registry (I mean come on…she’s in the business. She knows all the latest gadgets and equipment)??

It appears she received everything she needs for her new baby girl…

Hate baby shower games??  I bet you wouldn’t hate this one.  Magnetic boards were passed out, and each team designed a nursery using magnet photos of products from Amazon, Minted and The Project Nursery Shop to create a dream nursery for her baby.  Seriously??? That’s incredible.  I want one of those!  The winner received a $500 gift card to Minted.
You can read Melissa’s recap of the shower here on Project Nursery’s blog.
What’s your favorite detail from the baby shower??  Have you ever utilized Project Nursery’s website for nursery inspiration??

I loved Project Nursery when I was nursery planning earlier this year! I posted our pics and sources from Lawter's nursery on the site because I so enjoyed seeing other people's real life rooms!
