Thoughts for Thursday | Blogger Feature + Giveaway

It’s already Thursday which means it’s time for my random thoughts for the week again!! I hope you will play along too.
+ I made these Copy Cat PF Chang’s Chicken Lettuce Wraps this week and they were delicious.  It was the perfect amount of spice and crunch.  I will definitely be making these again soon!
+ I’ve been pretty excited about some projects for Madelyn’s nursery.  I’m attempting to do something like this above her changing table, but I’m certain mine won’t look as cool.  My colors will be different, but I’m hoping it turns out somewhat cool!  I’ve already started and know it won’t be as good as this one below. Oh well!
+ I also pulled out another little DIY this week.  Christina inspired me to make a ribbon holder for Madelyn’s bow collection.  I’m pretty excited to get this hung and put some cute bows on it!  I’ve been working on some closet organization in both of their rooms.
+ While I was at Michael’s picking up the goodies for my nursery projects, I was a little shocked to see all this Fall stuff out!! I mean I can’t wait for cooler temperatures and Fall to be here, but it still seemed a little soon.  Are you guys ready for fall decor??
+ This little kid has become such a ham!  Whenever he see’s me with my phone or camera, he start’s yelling “cheese” and ready to smile for the camera.   He’s just been my little buddy this summer.  I can’t believe how big he’s getting.
+ Now I’d like to introduce Owen of Davis Duo.  She is my newest sponsor on HOM and I couldn’t be happier to have her.  I’ve thoroughly enjoyed exchanging emails and comments with her over the last few months and getting to know her better.  She’s an adorable wife and auntie to some super cute babies.   I’ll let her do the rest of the talking…
Name/Age/Location
I’m Owen, mid-20’s, living in Greenville, NC. My “guy’s name” was my grandmother’s maiden name, and as I have gotten older I’ve realized how special it is to carry on family names. I used to hate it but now I love it!

Family
I married my college sweetheart (go Tarheels!) on December 28, 2013. I can’t believe it has almost been 2 years! We have a 4-year-old German Short-haired Pointer named Bella who is our spoiled baby. Hoping to add some real babies to the mix pretty soon 😉 But until then, it’s just us 3. My entire family lives in our town and my in-laws live 45 minutes from us. We are both very family oriented!

Work
I am currently in Physician Assistant school. Upon graduation in December of 2015 (4 months away!!!) I hope to work in either OBGYN, Pediatrics, or Orthopedics. It has been such a blessing to follow my dream of working in medicine.

Hobbies
We love to travel. Whether to our beach house at Atlantic Beach or somewhere further away, it seems like we are always on the go. We live right beside my sister and brother-in-law, who have 2 children. We spend SO much time with them and I am so lucky I get to see my niece and nephew every single day. They make a lot of appearances on my blog! We love staying active, whether at the gym or outside with Bella. I mostly just pretend to enjoy the gym so I can have an excuse to wear Lululemon 😉

Why I Blog

I started this blog when I was in college to document what was going on in my life, but I never expected to enjoy it so much. After meeting so many amazing ladies recently, I decided to take blogging a little more seriously and try to grow this space in hopes of meeting even more people.

What I Blog About
I consider my blog a “lifestyle” blog. I post about anything that’s on my mind, from our wedding, to our honeymoon, vacations, house projects and decorating, and recipe posts every now and then. I won’t be posting brand new outfit pictures every day or the most amazing homemade recipes, but I promise to keep it real and give you guys a glimpse into our crazy life! My favorite blogs to read are the ones that are real, un-edited, and relatable, and that’s what I hope for my blog to be.

Thanks for having me, Annie! Stop by my blog and say hi… I’d love to meet you!

Can't wait to see Madelyn's nursery – I know it will be absolutely gorgeous! As far as the fall stuff goes, I am not surprised that it's out. It's hard to believe it, but fall will be here in just a few short weeks, so I'm sure all the stores will be getting ready soon (despite the fact that the fall weather won't be here for another couple of months!) And I love me some Owen! She is the sweetest!!!:)
