Thoughts for Thursday | Life Lately

Hi Friends,

Sorry I’ve been MIA all week.  I think I could of easily let this whole week slide by without ever getting a post up.  It’s just been one of those weeks!  Matt and I left for our vacation (just the two of us) last Wednesday and we got home late Monday night.  We returned home and of course were thrown right back  into the the thick of things!  It’s been crazy.  The kids are officially out of school for summer and we are trying to find our groove.  Hopefully we get there.

+ We got a text while we were on vacation that Madelyn had the stomach bug.  I felt horrible.  My MIL had the kids, but we also had my nieces and SIL in town.  I was crossing my fingers that no one else would catch it.  Wishful thinking…

+ I have SO much to share with you guys about our trip.  We had the BEST time and I could go on and on about it forever.  I’m pretty sure I mentioned in a previous post that we were staying at a Sandals resort.  It was my first time ever staying at one of these hotels and I can’t wait to share with ya’ll what I think.  Have you stayed at one before???

+ I have a whole post I was going to do on sharing outfits from the trip, but I had to pop in early and let you guys know that this dress has been reduced 25% and is now under $1o0!!  I love the detailing on it so much and the fit is cute and comfortable with a flattering V-neck.  I’m wearing a size large.  I wouldn’t mind it being a little longer (of course), but I don’t mind it.

Embroidered Dress (25% off) | earrings | purse | shoes (old)

+ Madelyn has started her ISR swim lessons this week.  I love the results from these lessons, but the commitment is brutal. We have to be at these lesson 5 days a week at 9:40am for 6 weeks.  The lessons are only 10 minutes long and it takes 30 minutes to get to them! Ugh!   It’s a bit tougher this year with the second child.  Brody is in a summer camp that is the opposite direction, so I feel like my life this summer is going to be doing a lot of back and forth in a car.

+ I actually feel a bit stressed when looking at the summer calendar instead of excited.  Well, of course I’m excited because we have some fun things planned; but, I’m nervous about the “non-structure.”  I really do love having my routine.  These days already seem so unpredictable!!  Anyway, I’m working on trying to embrace it; but in the meantime, I wish I was still floating on Fancy the Flamingo in the Bahamas and swimming with the pigs!

I hopefully will be back soon with a travel recap!!  We’re traveling again this weekend, so I know I’m going to keep falling behind.

I can’t wait to hear more about your trip! I’m in the same boat – trying my best to embrace a non-schedule this summer. Easier said that done. Hope you have a great weekend getting back into the groove with the family!
