Travel Tuesday | What I’m Packing for the Bahamas

Matt and I try to get in one trip a year that is just for the two of us.  Not a wedding weekend, but a trip all about us :). It can be really hard some years as we have other obligations that come up, but this year we managed to squeeze one in.  We typically try to do it in May and we love to hit the Caribbean.  In the past we’ve done Turks & Caicos and Anguilla and then a few other of our trips that included family.  We’re headed to the Exumas this trip.  We went to the Exumas for my Dad’s 60th Birthday trip four years ago when I was pregnant with Brody and now I’m excited to go back (not pregnant)!

It felt so good to sell a few dresses a couple of weeks ago and it help make room for some new ones for our trip!  Summer dress shopping is on of my favorite things to do! Here is a little roundup of what is coming with me:

mini yellow tote // pink ibiza tote // pink fringe sandals // tan wedges // yellow tassel earrings // aqua tassels

:: Maisy Swing Dress ::

I’ve already worn this dress and I’m obsessed.  It’s lightweight and so comfortable.  The length is perfect and I love the neckline.  Under $100.

:: Cathy Off the Shoulder Dress ::

This little number is expensive, but the detailing is beautiful.  It is probably my favorite dress for the trip.  I can’t wait to wear it with some cute wedges and fun statement earrings.

:: Eyelet One Shoulder ::

This dress is really cute, but may be a little too short for me.  I was looking for a simple white dress and I love the eyelet detail of this one, but I think one wash and it will be too short.  I’m 5’9″ for reference.  So it may be getting returned.

::  Embroidered Dress ::

I’m obsessed with the neckline and embroidery of this dress!  Blue and white is always a favorite and I can’t wait to style this dress on our trip too.

:: Essie Dress ::

These sleeveless Essie dresses are so comfortable to throw on after the pool, running errands, or out to dinner.  I have an Essie dress in a size Large that I like, but ended up needing the XL in this one for some reason.  I like the fit.

:: The Tammy Dress ::

These colors were calling my name.  I liked the style of this dress and the nice thick material.  It even has 50 UPF built in.

:: Alana White Off Shoulder ::

Another white dress.  I need your vote.  Do you guys like this one or not?  I’m torn for some reason.  It’s expensive and I love some of the detailing, but I can’t decide if I love the way it looks??

:: Margot Swing Dress ::

This one I’m OBSESSED with. This Goombay print is the cutest!  I love the fit of the dress and it even comes in a matching girl dress which of course Madelyn had to have!

:: Jane Shift Dress ::

Okay, I’m sorry if you are tired of the Lilly.  This is the last one. This tropical vacation just has me in Lilly mode.  This dress comes in green too which is so pretty and the zipper allows you to decide how much you want to show off 🙂

:: Calista Dress ::

Another great embroidered dress for you! I actually like the blue and black combo with the pretty yellow detailing.  Great for coverup or casual dress to wear during the day.

:: Pavi Embroidered Dress ::

This blue and white cover-up with the tassel details is so cute! I love the look.

:: Mwali Shirt Dress ::

This needs a good steaming, but I love the first and detail of this dress.  It’s the Lemlem brand which has a high price tag, but I love the quality and fit!

    Can I just hop in your suitcase with you? Do you think I could squeeze my belly into the Alana and/or Margot?

  6. Hey Annie! What size did you get in the Margot swing dress Goombay print? I’m debating between a M or a L.

      I got the large. It’s not too fitted and fairly long on me, you could probably do the medium.
