Brody’s Nerf 6th Birthday

We celebrated Brody’s 6th birthday this week! He has still been my little boy and now I am feeling like 6 is so grown up. Let’s face it, I had no say in his birthday party this year. And that practically made me cry in itself! He has become obsessed with Nerf guns and he went to two Nerf gun parties this year and he knew exactly what he wanted to do for his birthday!

The only thing that I couldn’t argue about was the fact that I would get to host a birthday party outside of our house which would mean less work for me!! This turned out to be the easiest party I have ever thrown which was pretty awesome. We held his party at a local gym in town (looks like a bit like a crossfit gym) and they just let the kids come in and play for about an hour and then they have a smaller room where you can have lunch and do cake. The gym is called Rumble Training Center for my locals, but sadly the manager was telling me they will no longer being doing nerf parties there anymore. Thursday was Brody’s actual birthday and we have always had the tradition where I decorate the dining room and leave donuts and their gifts ready for them to open when they wake up. It was fun this year, because Brody remembered that I always do that. So when he went to bed, he asked and made sure that I had planned for it to be there when he woke up. He got a new bike from Matt and I this year and a new scooter from his Grammy!

On the day of his birthday, we went to the pool, had a water balloon fight at the house and then went to dinner at the Yacht Club. The next day he got to go to the baseball game with his cousins and then it was time to get ready for his big Nerf gun party on Saturday!
