Our Week in Rosemary Beach | June 2018

We spent a week in June with friends and family in Rosemary Beach.  We had a blast even though we had more than our fair-share of rain!  It happened to be a pretty rainy week, but we were able to sneak in beach time anyway.  I think I joked that I never put sunscreen on the whole trip except for my face sunscreen!  It wasn’t quite that bad, but we did have a lot of cloud coverage and a few thunderstorms.  This is a super long post with tons of photos, so let me get right to it.

:: WHERE WE STAYED ::

The Capri Cottage

Matt and I had stayed in this house last Fall with some friends and fell in love! The rooftop dip pool is amazing and loved the layout of the house.  It’s a party house :). It’s located just 3 houses off the beach and one block from the Pearl Hotel.  The location is one of my favorites.

:: WHAT WE DID ::

Our house came with 8 bikes which was really nice.  We rented a trailer for the kids to take them around.  We spent as much time as possible at the beach in between rain or thunder sessions!  The boys golfed at Shark Tooth one day, the big kids hit up Shipwreck Island for a day, and we all went to Dave & Busters Arcade one morning/afternoon to avoid the rain! The kids developed a serious love for boogie boarding and we spent a good bit of time at the pool.  We enjoyed a couple of evenings at the beach watching the sunset and enjoyed several good meals with just the adults!

We celebrated Carson’s 3rd Birthday!

:: WHERE WE ATE ::

We had a pretty good eating schedule set up for the week.  We prepared ahead of time for babysitters, so we could have some nice adult meals out! I booked several reservations using OpenTable.com several weeks early because I knew it would be a busy time of year and many of the restaurants are small.  Matt and I both agreed we had the most amazing food at each of our favorite restaurants this trip!  The lobster and seafood salad from Pescado was incredible and the Soft-Shell Crab appetizer from Paradis was dynamite! I had a delicious burrata appetizer from Caliza and the fish was super tasty too!

:: FAMILY PICTURES ::

I love getting family photos at the beach! They are always my favorite to look back on.  I had a friend of mine that is a photographer in Pensacola come down and take these for our family.  He was so kind to travel for us!  All photos by Teston Photography!

We had a wonderful week with friends and family despite the amount of rain we had!! Rosemary will always be one of my favorite places to travel with kids!!
