5 New Items We’re Bringing to the Beach

We hit the beach up a lot during the Spring and Summer and I always like to be prepared!  We are headed on vacation for a week at the beach and I’m always adding to our arsenal of toys and equipment.  I like the easiest and best :). So these are the five new items we are adding or replacing this year and one bonus item that so many of you always ask about!

{One}

Kids Swim Goggles

The kids are at the age where they want to swim with goggles.  We’ve played around with several different styles of goggles for the kids to wear at the beach and in the pool and none of them seem to work great.  I read some awesome reviews on these and feel like the larger frames will work really well.  They are not supposed to leak and the kids like the wider view range of the larger lenses.  So hopefully these will be a winner!!

Mesh Sand Toy Bag

This may seem like a given and it is, but trying to find the perfect toy bag is key!! We’ve tried out a lot of different styles for the beach and we’ve found that these mesh laundry bags work the best.  The key is making sure that you get one with the shoulder strap!  I love that this one has a closure at the top, the shoulder strap and a sturdy canvas bottom!  And it’s inexpensive.

Sand Toys

We also own these and these that the kids love.  I like to purchase one new set before a big beach trip because it always grabs the kids attention a little longer. The kids love the food toys because they can be the chefs and Mommy and Daddy can sit in our chairs while they serve us :). So I thought this little tea set would be a hit and keep them occupied.

White rash guards (and these in long sleeve)

It is hard to find an ALL white rash guard! These are a great price point and I love them because they can be monogrammed!  These really work for boys or girls.  I just dropped off a couple of them for Brody to monogram for our beach trip.  Can’t wait to see how they turn out.

Plae Shoes

Water shoes! These shoes are new to me, but I think a lot of you have heard of the brand Plae.  They make all different types of shoes.  They were kind enough to reach out to me and send Brody and Madelyn a new pair.  I picked out this Mimo style that I am obsessed with!  The kids have worn Natives for the last couple of summers, but I’ve found them difficult to get on and off of the kids feet especially when they were wet! And finally, I can’t end this post without mentioning this foldable, pool to bring to the beach!! Anytime I show this pool in my instastories or IG photo, I always get lots of messages asking about it.  It is actually considered a doggy pool, but is perfect for the beach.  It folds right up into our beach bag and is the perfect size for the kids.   They take their buckets and fill it up when we first get to the beach, so then the water is nice and warm for them to play in!  This is great for the 9-18 month age range too!!
