Where do you live?
I live in Pensacola, FL which is where I grew up and was born in New Orleans, LA.
Why did you start your blog?
Originally because I loved reading other blogs and I found it a fun way to keep up with all of my friends after college that moved all over the country. Then I loved it as an online diary when I got married and we were about to build our first home. We were also pregnant with our first child and I loved it as a creative outlet and a way to communicate with other moms-to-be.
What’s the meaning behind your blog name?
We were in the middle of building our new home and I felt like Home of Malones had a good ring to it. Plus I felt like it pretty much covered everything life + style that I might want to write about.
Where did you go to school & what did you major in?
I went to the University of Florida and majored in Finance and Entrepreneurship. I graduated in 2007 and moved to Atlanta to work in the mortgage business. I left the mortgage business after two years and started working in the family business of home building. Lived in Orlando for nine months, then Ocean Springs MS for 2 years and then moved back to my hometown of Pensacola, FL in 2012.
