I had so much fun recapping our trip yesterday to the Bahamas. I’m honestly ready to head back. We came home to a tornado of stomach bug at our house and Matt and I were quickly smacked with reality. Thanks for all of your sweet comments yesterday too. It was important to me to share our honest review of the resort and the island. I had preconceived opinions about Sandals, so I’m glad we checked it out for ourselves.
Here’s a recap of what I wore during our stay. My husband was so kind to snap some photos for me (he’s becoming quite talented, don’t you think?). They also had a resort photographer in house that snapped some photos of us one evening before dinner. If I’m missing a link to anything, just ask. Some items may be old and not found online anymore, so I’m sorry about that.
Sunnies :: Top :: Jeans :: Sandals
The new Draper James line has me all googly eyed! I’m so happy that Nordstroms is carrying it now and I’m just obsessed with it all. And guess what?? Reese Witherspoon actually liked this photo on Instagram too!!! I love her for that 🙂
Embroidered Dress :: Yellow tassel earrings :: mini yellow tote :: Wedges (old)
I’m still obsessed with these yellow fringe earrings and look for any outfit I can wear them with. They are really large, so they definitely make a statement. I bought these wedges from TB last year and I’m still so in love with them. I couldn’t find a pair similar to link for you. My dress in 25% off which puts it under $100 and I would highly recommend it!
swimsuit :: hat :: flamingo float
This yellow bathing suit is so happy. I’m obsessed with the detail in the back and the netting detail up front. My boobies are so big after babies, that I have found these halter bathing suits seem to hold me in best and give me the best coverage! This flamingo came with me from Pensacola. The employees at the resort were so kind to blow it up for me and all they asked in return was that I left it with them when I went home! I kindly obliged. So Fancy the Flamingo has now been able to continue her life down in the Bahamas and I’m extremely jealous :).
Cellulite not photoshopped. lucky you 🙂
:: Mwali Shirt Dress :: Sunnies :: pink ibiza tote
This coverup is a definite splurge. I love the fit so much and that it is more like a dress that I can wear out and about too that gives me full coverage. I love everything from the Lemlem brand, but it’s just so pricey.
:: Calista Dress :: yellow tassel earrings:: mini yellow tote
This dress is selling out fast, rightfully so. It’s embroidery detail is so cute and the fit is perfect. Plus I got to wear my earrings with it again 🙂
I only wore this swimsuit because it was just me and Matt on a private island. It makes me sad that I can’t really wear triangle tops anymore without feeling SO revealing. But I do love this suit. The bottoms are higher waisted with the cute scallop detail too.
Still loving this fun beaded cover-up!
:: Cathy Off the Shoulder Dress :: aqua tassels :: watch :: pink fringe sandals (on sale!)
These photos are from the night the photographer captured us. This dress is the bomb. I would say it actually runs a little big. I am in a size large and probably would have been happy with the medium. It’s pricey and hopefully will go on sale soon, but once you see the detail of it, you will know why! My tassel earrings are a great price and my favorite shoes are over $100 off!!! They also come in Navy.
You guys were so sweet with the compliments on this suit. You made me want to buy it in every single color. Too bad I would go totally broke if I did that because this suit does break the bank. I actually found mine on sale, but I can’t say enough good things about it. This is my first ever one piece (since I was like 10) and it made me feel so good. I’ve never liked any one piece on me before and I’ve tried a ton!! Even when I was pregnant, I would only wear tankinis because I couldn’t find one that I liked. These glasses were just a fun, retro purchase. They are less than $20 on Amazon.
:: Pavi Embroidered Dress :: hat :: Sunnies :: pink ibiza tote
This coverup feeds my love for white and blue and the tassels are just the cherry on top 🙂
I didn’t get a very good photo of this dress. We had one dinner at the French restaurant that was a bit fancier than the rest, so I decided to dress up a bit. I wore this dress to a rehearsal dinner a few months back and I still love the neckline detail.
Pineapple Dress :: Sandals :: mini yellow tote
We didn’t get very good photos of this dress either, but the colors on this make me so happy. Plus the pineapples, of course! Madelyn has this dress in the girl size and I’m pretty stoked about matching with her sometime soon. The dress is a casual fit. Someone asked me about sizing earlier. I’m wearing a size large, but probably could easily wear the Medium since it’s not too fitted. I do like the length that the large gives though.
sunnies :: swimsuit (also here)
This was such a fun day!! This swimsuit is old and hard to find the exact print now. I love the Marysia bathing suits, but most of her bikini bottoms are WAY too skimpy in the bootie for me. I like to wear my own bottoms (usually J.Crew) with them.
And on our last day, I flew home in my Essie dress. This picture is terrible and I needed some sunglasses, but that’s okay. I tried the large in this dress and it was too fitted, so I went with the XL. Hope that helps!
