Five on Friday

Hooray for Friday and for the Five on Friday link-up to be back in action!!  I’ve got another random five for you today, so I hope you enjoy šŸ™‚
{ONE}
I had a super fun and much needed girls night on Wednesday.  It was so much fun to get dressed up and hit “happy hour” with the girls.  Of course I got nostalgic remembering the days when I used to hit an after work happy hour several times a week; but I was really just thankful to be catching up with the girls.  In typical Mom fashion, we drank wine and mostly talked about our kids; but it was a perfect evening!

I posted this picture of Brody on the IG yesterday because I loved his little rock star look playing by our new pumpkins.  I love these adorable leggings on him that I picked up on Etsy from Sweetest Things.  Those neon moccasins are pretty awesome and I felt like I had to have them, but I’m find they don’t exactly go with a lot of Brody’s wardrobe.  But hopefully I’ll find some cute things this spring.
{THREE}
I made another amazing dish from Ina’s cookbook last night and it was a hit.  We love getting together with my brother and SIL once during the week for dinner if we can and this week I decided to whip up these lobster corn fritters!! They were perfect with a simple salad and everyone went back for seconds.  I’ll share recipe soon!

{FOUR}
So I forgot to fess up earlier this week that I blew-it on my 30 day remix challenge!! It was so stupid too.  With one week left to go in the month, I bought that damn Zara scarf.  You know what though?  It’s sold out right now and that’s what I was worried about.  Hopefully it will be available again soon because it is so big and cozy!

Here’s a few more items on my wish list now that I’m taking myself off clothes buying restriction! I actually already received that black drop waist dress below and the price is awesome and I love the fit! I’m tempted to order it in the other color.

Lastly, I’m super excited to announce a link-up with some fabulous ladies for the holidays.  Lisa, Cait,  Katie and I will be hosting a link-up on the third Tuesday of the month for the rest of the year.  So that means a link-up for Halloween in October, Thanksgiving in November, and Christmas in December!! If you haven’t noticed, I’m super passionate about my holidays and love everything from food to home decor to fashion.  So that’s what the link-up’s all about.  Share anything you want related to the holiday.  I can’t wait to see everyone’s ideas.  The first link-up will be October 21st.  We will be sure to remind you, but you can start thinking about what you’d love to share related to Halloween šŸ™‚

  14. I'm glad you stopped by my blog! I love your blog and am now a follower! Your Brody is adorable and when I first read your ladies night comment, I first read it as you "missed getting hit on" instead on hitting after work parties. ha ha.

  16. Oh my goodness, I am LOVING B's outfit! Those leggings…love them so much and I just put on my calendar that I need to measure Cruz's feet for a pair of FP moccs. I've been eyeing the Camo ones forever…do you like how they fit and is it easy enough for active toddlers to wear them outdoors?

    Have a great weekend!
