Five On Friday | Books on my ‘Want to Read’ List

I’ve been on a bit of a reading kick lately which is so refreshing because I haven’t really read a book since before I got pregnant with Brody.  I picked up my Amazon Kindle Paperwhite in July and I have been hooked ever since.   It’s small so I can through it in my purse if I know I am going to be out and about waiting in a doctors office or getting a pedicure and lately I’ve loved reading it while on the elliptical.  It’s super convenient.  Right now I just started reading The Woman in Cabin 10, but here’s a look at some of the books on my “want to read” list.

I would love to hear your reviews on any of these if you have read them or any other good book suggestions that you may have for me!

{ONE}
I was so obsessed with the first 3 books in this series I can’t even tell you.  They would probably have to go down as my favorite books ever.  I couldn’t put them down.  It’s been since 2009 since I read them and I was devastated when I heard the author died after the third book because he had plans to make this a 10 book series.  I understand that a new novelist has picked up where he left off and also found some notes that the author left behind for the future books.  So I would like to pick this one up and see what I think.  Has any one read it???

{TWO}
Luckiest Girl Alive
I understand this is a good suspense novel that keeps you on your toes.  I love a good thriller.

{THREE}
Heads in Beds: A Reckless Memoir of Hotels, Hustles, and So-Called Hospitality
A friend of mine told me about this novel that she picked up in the airport and read on one flight.  She picked up some great tips from the author that shares his secrets on how to get your way when staying at hotels around the world.  I love to smooze the front desk clerks when checking in to always try to get an upgrade and apparently you just need to remember that, “money talks!”

{FOUR}
Carry On, Warrior: The Power of Embracing Your Messy, Beautiful, Life
I love an inspirational book every now and then too and this one is supposed to be awesome.  Let’s face it.  Life is messy.  Whether you have kids or not, we’re all busy and life can get crazy.  I definitely need to be reminded sometimes to embrace the now and love YOUR beautiful life.

{FIVE}
The Good Girl
Another suspense novel, but I’m not 100% sure that I will read this one.  It’s  a kidnapping story that may freak me out a little bit.  The girl is meant to be abducted for ransom, but her kidnapper decides to change the plans.  Has anyone read this one?? Would you recommend??

    I have The Good Girl on my to read list. Just ordered it but I am finishing up a Liane Moriarty book right now. Have you read any of her books? I'm always super into them and can't put them down. I enjoyed The Girl on the Train, too. I'm also super interested in the Luckiest Girl Alive. I love a thriller too.

  6. I would recommend The Good Girl! It's not at all as scary as it sounds. I listened to it on audio book and loved it!

  7. I couldn't agree more with all of your upcoming selections except Luckiest Girl Alive. As a friendly warning, this book was not what I thought it would be and I strongly discourage friends from reading it. However, The Woman in Cabin 10 that you are reading right now is amazing!
