Friday Favorites!

Today is the big day. The Nordstrom’s Anniversary sale is open to the public. It has been open to Nordstrom credit card holders for the last week and the frenzy has already been crazy.

This is the sale that I love to snag some of my favorite Fall essentials. Last year, I loaded up on all the high boots that I need for a long time. I love these and these this year. I typically find that I lean towards flats 90% of the time. Even though I love the look of a heel, it’s just not my go-to right now. I’m tall as it is; but mainly, I’m usually chasing kids around and need comfort.

I also like to buy my quality jeans during this sale. Last year, I was finally not pregnant and racked up on several new pairs. I really don’t need much this year as far as pants go, but I did purchase these. I love a high waist jean because I really don’t need anything to accentuate my muffin top these days.

I used to love wearing skirts and often times found them really flattering, but I honestly never wear them anymore since I became a Mom. Bending over and showing off my who-ha isn’t very becoming. If I were to purchase one though, it would be this one and this one!

Basic tops are so nice have on hand and layer during the winter. Our winters are so mild, it’s nice to be able to peel clothes off as we need. These are a few of my favorite tees:  V Neck or Scoop Neck.

I did a whole post this week sharing some of my favorite tops this season.  There are so many good sleeves out there.  I’m also loving this off the shoulder  and this one.

The vest game is really strong this year too.  A lot of them are selling out quickly.  I’m in love with this one.  I bought this one and this one.  And they are sold out of my favorite jacket that I own which is the perfect weight for the Southern climate, but they have it in the vest that is so cute!  You may consider sizing up on the vest too.

Lastly, I went crazy over the shoes.  I guess it’s because the “shoe always fits.”  I stocked up on my favorite sneakers that come in so many cute colors.   I also bought the cutest booties that have the perfect size heel.  And since it stays warm here until about December, I invested in another cute pair of sandals.

Lastly, I wanted to share the only bra that I wear anymore.  It is so comfortable!! I own about 5 of them now.  I actually went down in a cup size and up in the width and it fits perfect and doesn’t dig into my back fit :). So there are so many things still on my wishlist that I will be keeping an eye on throughout the sale.  Lots of things are out of stock already, but they do periodically restock items.  Here’s a few favorites and you can see some items that I’ve already tried from the sale in this post here.
