It’s finally Summertime around here (Brody didn’t get out of school until June 10th this year which is the latest we have ever gotten out) and we are super excited to amp up our travel schedule. The kids and I are headed to the beach this week for a few days with friends and then we return for less than a week and headed for another family vacation. Needless to say, I am excited for all the fun to come; but it always comes with a bit of anxiety trying to make sure we get everything ready! I like to start by making a list of everything we will need to pack. That will include clothes and gear for myself and the kids, but then also a list of all the items we need to buy or restock and bring with us. I have written a pretty extensive post before on how I like to pack for the kids when we are headed on a week long vacation that you can read here, but today I want to discuss what I do to save myself time and sanity before we leave!
We have been using Walmart + for a few months now and it has been so nice! I hopped on the app (which they make so user friendly) and decided to go ahead and schedule everything I need to bring with us for this trip ahead of time and have it delivered the day before we leave. That way I will secure my delivery spot, but I can still add items or take away items if needed up until the point they start shopping. I am able to order everything I need to bring — case of bottled water, breakfast muffins and fruit for the kids, wine for the mamas, paper plates, kids drinks, laundry pods and so much more. This saves me time and stress before we leave for our trip.
We are driving to the beach, so I have the luxury of just putting everything in my car to take on vacation, but you know what is even more amazing? Schedule your Walmart+ delivery directly to your vacation spot. If you are flying or don’t want to travel with refrigeration items, set up your delivery time before you leave for your trip and have it delivered after check-in time! You get to arrive in paradise with a fully stocked home 🙂
As I go through my list of things I need to pack for the kids, I check on items we may be low on and may need to be restocked for me to pack. I added some more sunscreen for the kids, new goggles, baby shampoo, new travel tooth brushes, swim diapers, and Zarbee’s sleep gummies (you don’t want to forget this when you’re traveling with a slew of kids!).
So once everything arrived, I added it all into our suitcases or directly into my car and went through my checklist one more time to make sure we had everything!!! And you know what the beauty is; anything we forget, I can always set up another Walmart + delivery to come straight to our vacation house when we’re there! It could be as little as just ice and paper towels because there is no order minimum.
So I try not to sweat it, but it feels good to have everything I need for our vacation ready to go!

Go to www.walmart.com/plus > Click “Start 15 Day Free Trial” > Enter Address > Select Annual or Monthly Plan > Add credit card information > Submit by clicking “Start your 15-day free trial”
You will be shown a window with all the Walmart+ benefits available to you based on your address. Membership benefits vary based on your location.
