Well, I meant to post this earlier this morning since tonight is the College Football National Championship game because I thought it would be really cute made as a football. I will try to make one soon and maybe we can make it for the Super Bowl.
This is a recipe that I have made for two years now at my annual girls Christmas Party and the girls go bananas over it! I love serving it towards the end of the night as like a “midnight” snack after we have had cocktails, dinner, opened gifts and had wine!! This would also be so fun to make for Christmas morning and obviously anytime of the year! It does not need to be arranged into a Christmas tree! It just looks so fun that way.
You could even arrange it into a football and serve it at a tailgate or a heart for Valentines’s Day <3
Maple Sausage and Cream Cheese Crescent Tree
Ingredients:
- 1 (16-oz) package maple sausage
- 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, room temperature
- 3 Tbsp real maple syrup
- 2 (8-count) cans refrigerated crescent rolls
Instructions:
-
-
Preheat oven to 375ºF.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook maple sausage until no longer pink and crumbled. Drain fat.
-
Mix cooked sausage, cream cheese and maple syrup together.
-
Separate rolls into triangles. Cut eat triangle in half lengthwise – making 32 triangles.
-
Using a small cookie scoop, scoop sausage mixture onto the wide end of each roll and roll up.

Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

**You can definitely make everything ahead of time and just store it in the refrigerator and bake when you are ready.
