I am often looking for a go-to adult cocktail to serve at parties that I can make in a big batch. I have now made this fresh squeezed margarita recipe for two different events and it has really been a bit. I highly suggest that you take the time up front to squeeze the limes and don’t use store bought lime juice. I made this at our tennis team luncheon and then last weekend at Molly’s pool party.
Margarita Pitcher Recipe
Makes approximately 12 servings
Ingredients:
- 1½ cups Freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1½ cups Cointreau
- 3 cups Reposado Tequila
- ½ cup Agave syrup
- 12 cups Ice
- Orange Slices (optional)
Directions:
-
In a pitcher, combine all ingredients, except the ice and mix well. Keep the margarita mixture refrigerated until ready to serve.
-
When ready to serve, rim the glasses with salt (if desired) and fill each with ice.
-
Add some orange wedges if desired and I add a little ice to the pitcher just as I put it out.
-
Garnish with a lime wedge or wheel.
-
Enjoy!
