Molly’s Peterbrooke Chocolate 6th Birthday

Molly celebrated her 6th birthday two weeks ago and she had made plans with me to have a “yes” day for her birthday instead of a traditional birthday party.  When the day got closer, I was unsure exactly what she wanted and she started asking to have friends come along and I decided it was probably best that I had a few things planned for the day so we weren’t going around aimlessly.  She had already given me her birthday wish list, so we just needed to plan something special for her day.

I had seen someone mention a party that they had at our local Peterbrooke chocolate shop where they got to bring kids into the store and they demonstrated and taught the girls about chocolate, how to make it, where it comes from and let them dip and make chocolate creations.  It was a short 1.5 party and was perfect for what I was looking for as an after school activity.  That way I could just pick the girls up from school and we could head straight there.

It was the easiest little party because Peterbrooke set up everything for us and all we had to do is show up! They had the happy birthday banner, the goodies set out for the girls, tea and lemonade, picked up pizza from our favorite Papas pizza and they were so kind!  The girls had a blast.

They said traditionally they look to do the party for ages 8 and up; but honestly these girls at age 6 did great! The other thing they mentioned is that they like to host these parties in the Summer months but the holidays get really busy for them and they don’t have the capacity to host during the Fall and Winter months.  So that is something to keep in mind if you call and try to schedule.

They got all dressed in their aprons and hair nets and dipped caramel apples.

They had a tray full of soooo many goodies that they were able to dip in chocolate and decorate.  And then of course they were allowed to eat it and bring the leftovers home.

They also had delicious gelato at the store as well and each girl was able to get a scoop of that towards the end because hey, everyone needed more dessert!

I can’t say enough great things on how well structured they have their parties.  It is not a huge space, so I think 8 was maybe the maximum number of people you can have.  We had six girls and it was perfect.

After we finished up at Peterbrooke, they told us about a brand new place that just opened that week next door called Coral’s Closet that we needed to go check out with the girls.  And since we were having a “yes” day, that’s of course what we did!!

This spot was so cute and I was so happy to learn about it.  It was filled with over a hundred costumes for the kids to dress up in, tons of indoor toys, a place to grab coffee for the adults, a toy section and a party and dance room in the way back!  You can drop in and pay by the hour for your kids to play or you can schedule to have your next party there.  It was really adorable.  They are just getting started, but if you have a little girl ages 6 and under; I would highly recommend this for a party location!!

I will be sure to add both of these spots to my ever-growing list of Pensacola’s Ultimate Party Vendor List.

Can’t believe our baby is 6!!! We love you Mols!
