We spent our Easter at home this year with family and it was wonderful!! Our kids spring break fell on the week before Easter this year and we traveled with family to go skiing, but we came home before Easter.
My brother and SIL hosted us all for Easter this year. Everyone went to church in the morning and then we met up for lunch at their house afterwards.
The girls wore the cutest dresses from Little English and shoes from Elephantito. Brody wore clothes from Vineyard Vines.
The kids got a few fun goodies in their Easter baskets. Mostly some new Spring goodies for the kids like swimsuits, cover ups, pool toys, and some new football goodies for Brody.
The girls nightgowns were so cute and also from Little English.
I made this cute Bunny Butt dessert for the kids to snack on for Easter Sunday. I found the recipe online and saved it in my notes, but I can’t remember where I got the recipe from.
Bunny Butt Funfetti Dip Easter Dessert
INGREDIENTS
- 16 oz cream cheese
- 3/4 cup sprinkles
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup Funfetti cake mix
- 14 oz bag coconut flakes
- 8 pink M&M’s
- 1 box Graham crackers
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Spread the Funfetti cake mix on a baking sheet and bake it for 5 minutes to ensure safety, or microwave it in 30-second intervals, stirring each time until it reaches 160°F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sprinkles, white chocolate chips, sugar, and baked Funfetti cake mix.
- Knead the mixture with your hands until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Divide the mixture into one large ball, two medium-sized balls, and one small ball.
- Roll each ball in coconut flakes, ensuring they are completely coated.
- Assemble the bunny butt by using the two medium-sized balls as feet and the small ball as a tail.
- Flatten and shape the feet gently with your hands.
- Use the pink M&M’s to create toes on the feet.
- Refrigerate the bunny butt dip or serve it immediately.
- Serve with graham crackers for dipping.
NOTES
Make sure to heat up your Funfetti cake mix in the oven or microwave prior for food safety, as it’s not recommended to eat raw flour. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Spread the Funfetti cake mix on a baking sheet and bake it for 5 minutes to ensure safety, or microwave it in 30-second intervals, stirring each time until it reaches 160°F.
The kids all enjoyed a fun Easter egg hunt around the house and searched hard for the golden egg. The adults enjoyed a delicious meal of shrimp and grits, quiche and a beautiful salad.
We had some of our family in town from Colorado which was so fun to have them over for Easter. We don’t get to see them too often, so it was a special treat.
It was a gorgeous and warm day! I look at my kiddos now and can’t get over how big they are getting. As everyone always says, it truly is such a fun stage though 🙂
Happy Easter!
