Our Holiday Carriage Ride

Happy Friday friends!! Today is a bit of a phone dump, but I wanted to share a little party we had with friends and family for the 3rd year in a row.  It honestly feels like it gets better and better each year.  Mainly because the kids are getting older and they get pretty excited about riding the horse and buggy and seeing all the Christmas lights.  So, each year, my Mom is so kind to rent the horse and carriage for about 3 hours for our family.  We host it at our house because we live downtown and we can take the carriage all through the pretty Christmas lights.   Each family gets to take a 20-30 minute ride on the carriage and then they had back to the house for dinner and drinks.  The weather was cold (but not too cold), so it was fun to bundle up and break out the hats and gloves for the kids.  We play Christmas music on our phones and trot through downtown and look at all the pretty lights.  People stop and take pictures of the carriage too which is always funny.

We also get a special visit from Santa to the house too!  He brings gifts for the kids and lets them sit for pictures.  It is always funny to see how the kids do with their own personal Santa Clause from year to year!

I love this little Holiday tradition that we have started and it’s a fun way to kick off the busy holiday season!

Have a great weekend!!  We have a pretty busy one ahead, but can’t wait for all the festivities!
