I always look forward to Thanksgiving week and this year was especially fun because we had my brother that lives in Miami and his family come stay for the week to spend the holiday with us. We kicked off the week with some fun family tennis, nice meals, and we took the kids to Laguna’s adventure park.

On Thanksgiving Eve, we headed over to my brother and SIL’s house for a fun Gumbo dinner! We had around 20 of us and it was such a fun way to kick off the holiday.
My cousin and her family who have been living out in LA even got to come over for the day to visit us! It was sooo good to see them. Her daughter is Molly’s age and they are so cute!

For Thanksgiving day, everyone came over to our house around 12pm and we started appetizers, watched football and visited until we sat to eat our Thanksgiving meal around 3pm. We had such a large group, we rented tables and chairs to use outside and it couldn’t have been a more gorgeous day. We lucked out big time!! We had so much fun eating, drinking and visiting that we didn’t want the day to end. We cheered on the Saints that evening to close out the night.

On Sunday, we went to brunch and a kick off performance for our friend Ashley Brown who sang with the Pensacola Symphony and did a show called “I’ll be home for Christmas.” It was absolutely amazing and so moving. We need her to come back every year for this one! If you ever get a chance to see Ashley Brown perform, you need to go. She heads to Kansas City in the middle of December for the same performance.
