This week was the last week of Summer for before Brody starts Kindergarten and it has been a little hectic. I wanted to stop and share our weekend from last week and then hopefully this week I will get a chance to share our week we had in Destin. It really turned out to be a blast!
So last weekend, I left on Friday afternoon to go to New Orleans for my cousins baby shower. It ended up being a ton of fun because I got to meet my Mom there who had been in Vail for the previous 5 or 6 weeks. She met me there and we had a blast at the baby shower Friday evening. It is not uncommon in New Orleans for it to be more of a “cocktail party” and that’s what it was. But everyone loved celebrating Baby Hoffman and seeing my cousin with her precious bump was so fun.
I wore this fun flamingo dress that I just love. It is on the pricier side, so I definitely splurged with this one. I have fallen in love with this brand lately. I wore this dress this summer when we were in Rosemary and I love it so much too.
We had a great visit in New Orleans even though it was super short. My Mom and I drove home Saturday afternoon and we grilled some steaks at home with the family when we arrived.
While I was in Destin, I picked up this dress that I fell in love with when I saw it on the manequin. The back is amazing with cutest ribbon bow. I had the kids with me when I was shopping, so I didn’t try it on. When I put it on at home, I wasn’t as in love with it on me as I had hoped!
Sunday we had an adult boat day planned on my Brother and SIL’s boat! It was such a blast. We went down towards Orange Beach and hopped around to a few spots and had lunch down there. We may have gotten rained on a little, but it didn’t stop us from having fun!
