We just had one of those weekends where we stayed home with relatively zero plans and had the nicest weekend! It felt great to slow down, rest a little bit and catch up with a few things around the house.
Friday afternoon I had a lunch planned with a few girlfriends. We had so much fun catching up and literally gave me something to look forward to all week long. You guys sent the sweetest messages about our outfits from instastories too. Sadly my outfit is older and most everything is sold out. My top is from a local store called Blutique, skirt is old from J. Crew, and my shoes I was able to find here in a few sizes.
That evening we went to our friends house for a little cookout with the kids. They had a blast and I crack up at the photo of the kids sitting on the bed. They were watching a movie and Madelyn was trying to mimic them sucking her thumb. So sweet.
Saturday morning we lounged in our pajamas for a most of the morning. The weather was overcast and predicted to rain all day long, so we were just relaxing. We decided to take a family trip to Lowe’s which ended up as our only adventure for the day. We got a few things done around the house and everyone just chilled!
We did take the kids to the pool for a little bit after naps and then decided to venture to Hibachi for dinner. Madelyn has never been before and she was happy to just run around the restaurant. Once they finally started cooking, she did have fun watching the chef.
Sunday morning we took the kids to Waffle House. Madelyn became really attached to her baby dolls this weekend. She wanted to take them with us everywhere we went. It’s so sweet to watch her love on them and talk to them.
We changed into our swimsuits and headed to take the boat out for the day with some friends. The boat wouldn’t start, so we had a quick change of plans to a pool day! It ended up being a blast and the perfect Sunday Funday to close out the weekend!
Have a great week!
I love a weekend at home with NO plans every now and then!! We have been traveling so much I can’t even remember our last weekend spent home with no plans
