Happy Monday, friends! This weekend was my MIL’s birthday and we did a few fun things to celebrate. We started off on Thursday evening by taking her, Brody and my Mom to go see ELF the broadway musical. It was here in town and I thought it was SO cute!! It didn’t start until late which was a bummer because Brody ended up falling asleep at the show, but we still had a great time. The actor that played Buddy the Elf did such a great job. If you get a chance to go see it, you really should! It definitely got me into the Christmas spirit!
On Friday, the kids were off school for Veteran’s Day. We had a super laid back and lazy morning which was really nice. We usually have the hustle and bustle of getting out the door for school, so this was really nice.
I decided to dress the kids up for Christmas because I needed to run to the Mall to run an errand and thought I might get the chance to get their photo with Santa. It turned out so awesome because there was literally NO ONE in line! We walked right up, the kids were nervous, and I sat next to Santa with them. It was the first time ever that Brody didn’t cry! He sat and talked to him for a long while and I think he might finally be over his fear!
I wore my new Christmas vest from J.Crew. I love the colors.
Friday evening we had my MIL and SIL over for a birthday dinner. On Saturday, I did some shopping with the girls and we hung out a bit. I decided I couldn’t wait anymore and broke out a small Christmas tree to put in our entryway. So Christmas is now in both of the kids room, a little in the play room and entry way. The rest of the house will stay decorated for Thanksgiving until Black Friday 🙂
Saturday evening we had friends over for football and dinner! We spent most of Sunday just hanging out and getting ready for the week ahead! I’ve been knocking out some Christmas gifts already which feels so good. The tree is from Michaels here and so is the tin skirt. Make sure to use a coupon!

It’s never too early for Christmas! I love the tree and I love, love, love that the kiddos saw Santa!
Um, what a good idea to go see Santa early!! We waited in line for over an hour last year and I was like sorry kid that’s the last time you’ll be going to see Santa haha so I might see if this works for us!
Looks like a fun weekend! Do you know where your daughter’s dress came from (the one she is wearing in front of the Christmas tree)? It’s adorable!
That Santa picture of you guys is ADORABLE! I love their sweet Christmas outfits!
