Good Morning Friends! We jumped into all things Christmas this week by decorating our house and tree and kicking off holiday parties for the month of December!
We had one cold night this week where we were able to light our first fire of the season and it made me so happy!!! I had a lot of question about our stockings when I posted this picture. You can find them here. I grew up with needlepoint stockings and have always loved them. We ordered Molly’s this year and hopefully it will arrive this month. These are a great price point and make sure you get them on sale. They are always running sales.
On Thursday this week, I went to a girls luncheon for a friends birthday party. I broke out one of my favorite wool skirts from J. Crew last year and I was hoping they would bring it back this year; but I haven’t seen it.
Sometimes, I need five hands with these kids and I recently ordered this pillow to help with bottle feedings for Molly. This picture cracks me up. It hasn’t worked perfectly for me yet because she will sometimes move the pillow around still, but it has been really convenient!
Molly turned 3 months this week and I snapped this smiley picture of her that just melts me!!
I mentioned in my instastories on Friday that we were supposed to head to Miami as a family this weekend to go visit my oldest brother and his two kids. We rarely get to see them and I was so excited about the trip. We were going to have my whole family together with all 7 grandkids for the first time. Thankfully, Molly is doing extremely well after her RSV, but we didn’t want to chance her getting any other sickness by traveling and deciding not to go on the trip! I was pretty bummed for most of the day on Friday, but I finally snapped out of it and we ended up having a wonderful weekend!
Saturday morning we went to my friends house for a little Christmas brunch. Every year we go to their house for the Santa parade but it was cancelled this year because of rain. We ended up still going over there and decorating Christmas cookies and the kids had a blast!
Saturday night after the brunch, Matt and I had a babysitter! We headed out downtown to Urban Swinery for dinner. We sat at the bar and had appetizers and salad and then we walked down to Jackson’s for a glass of wine and dessert. We ran into some friends on the way that joined us! It was a lot of fun.
Sunday morning was so lazy and wonderful. We stayed in our pajamas for way too long and enjoyed coffee by the tree while I did some work. The kids were actually playing so quiet and sweet together. It was nice to be low-key. We had some friends over for dinner Sunday night early and were tucked in bed by 8:30pm! It was perfect.
Happy December! I hope everyone has a great week. We have lots of fun stuff coming up. I’m just trying to do everything in my power to keep my kids healthy this month 🙂
