Scenes From Our Weekend

We had a pretty low-key weekend with the kiddos. On Friday, me and the girls had some girl time while Brody was at school. It was a gorgeous day and we took a stroll around the neighborhood, Madelyn grabbed her favorite strawberry ice cream and then we got our nails done before she headed to the doctor.

I took her to the doctor for a cough and it turned out she had pneumonia 😭

Matt and I had plans Friday night to attend a charity event for our local symphony with some friends. We did a terrible job of snapping photos and inside the venue they had blue lights, so all of our photos turned out like this.

I wish I had a better photo from the night of this dress that I wore. I love the colors in this dress. I’m wearing the size 12 and as you can see it’s a little tight in the chest. This is a little more cleavage than I normally show, but I just loved the dress so much that I went for it 🙂

Maxi Dress

I had ordered a few new Lilly pieces last weekend when Lilly was running their free gift promotion. They actually have another one going on right now with a purchase of $600 or more you can get this cute wine glass picnic set.

So Saturday was actually a gorgeous day and I wish we had gone to the beach because I felt like we ended up wasting most of the day!! We were just so indecisive and just decided to go out to lunch.

That afternoon and I tried on my new Lilly items.

This is a little off the shoulder Skort. I wanted it for something easy to throw on for the beach and I love how soft it is. I probably could have sized up in this outfit for a little looser fit, but I don’t hate it. I’m wearing a large. You can see the model wearing it as a looser fit. So I may exchange for bigger size.

Lana Skort

I couldn’t believe how much I ended up loving this dress. The fit is really nice and it would be perfect for Easter or maybe Molly’s Baptism. I thought it was really flattering and super comfortable. I’m wearing a size 12.

Nolea Dress

I wore this dress already this weekend and I just love it. I’m really enjoying this print this season and these kind of throw on dresses are just my favorite! I have learned that I always need to order XL in the Lilly cotton dresses like this because they always end up shrinking and getting shorter on me.

Amina Dress

This dress is super cute too! It is a little dressier fabric than just cotton in my opinion but is still perfect for a casual dress too. I’m wearing the xl in this one too.

Hollie Tunic Dress

Me and the girls hung out Saturday evening while the boys went to the Monster Jam show! Brody loved it!

Sunday was another low key day. Madelyn woke up with a rash all over her poor little body, so we pretty much stayed home to take care of her. We’re headed back to the doctor this week to have her checked out again.

My bro and SIL dropped us off the most delicious Kobe Beef filets and we decided to have a delicious at-home date night! I made two awesome sides from one of my favorite Ina cookbooks and they were a hit! I will share them soon. I always love the idea of a good side or two that is perfect to pair with a piece of meat.

This pasta would be so delicious leftover with just some added chicken or shrimp to it!!
