Scenes From Our Weekend | The Beachmate

Good Morning! We had a low-key weekend at home and the weather was really gorgeous.  Matt and I scored a babysitter at the last minute on Friday night and we decided to go walk downtown and grab dinner.  I didn’t snag any photos except this one of my #ootn before we walked out the door!  I’m wearing an old dress in my favorite style.  I own this dress in several different colors that I’ve collected over my three pregnancies!

On Saturday the weather was gorgeous and we decided to take advantage of the last month of Summer and bring the kiddos to the beach.  We have one beach we go to a lot that we call the kiddie beach because it’s on the bay side instead of the Gulf and it’s pretty easy to get to (meaning its a short walk) and it’s always calm, so we don’t have to worry about waves with the kids.  But it’s not near as pretty as the Gulf can be.  So we ventured to the Gulf with the kids and brought our favorite new accessory, The Beach Mate.  This beach bag is everything you need all in one!

The Beachmate is so smart and packs everything we need for the beach all together.  The two shovels are light-weight, but so sturdy.  There are buckets that can be packed with goodies for the beach, but once you arrive can be used as sand toys or flipped over for drink holders! There are pockets that surround the outside which are great for sunscreen, sunglasses or any other beach accessories.  Two velcro straps are there to hold your umbrella and inside is a mini cooler for snacks and drinks for the day!  We have now brought ours to the beach and the pool and we love it for both!! Beachmate was kind enough to send us this cooler, but these opinions are completely my own.  It’s very important to us to consolidate our beach load and make it as easy as possible for us to get there and this bag has totally done that!  We love it.  Watch this video to see all the best ways to use it too!

Saturday night we had some friends over for a casual dinner!  The kids had a blast playing baseball outside, shooting nerf guns, playing dolls and eating popsicles (and ice cream)!

Sunday was low-key!  We played at the house and then we split up and had a little girls day/boys day.  Matt took Brody to go see the new Incredibles 2 while Madelyn and I played dolls and tea parties at the house and then took a nap together 🙂

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!
