I spent the weekend on South Beach with three of my best friends from college. We graduated in 2007 and have pretty much seen each other at least once a year every year since graduation. Sometimes it was for weddings or bachelorettes, but other times we would pick a location and a weekend to have a little reunion. Last year was Newport and this year we chose Miami.
We stayed at the W Hotel on South Beach and had no plans but to enjoy nice dinners and hit the beach or pool each day.

I have a niece and nephew that live in Miami, so as soon as I arrived in Miami on Friday afternoon; I was able to head over to my nieces 6th birthday party. It was so fun to see her and her cute Kindergarten friends play together and I love that she wanted a Star Wars cake for her birthday. Apparently she loves Darth Vader 🙂
After the party, I met the girls at our hotel. They were hanging out by the pool before we could check in our room. When we headed to the front desk to check-in, we were informed that we were being upgraded to a two bedroom suite! Apparently they must have overbooked their standard rooms and we reaped the benefits. Are place with SICK. It made it so fun to all be able to stay together.
The outdoor space was amazing and HUGE. We had a great seating area, huge dining table and a full outdoor bar and grill.
Friday’s dinner was at our hotel restaurant called Mr. Chows. It was delicious Asian cuisine. We were not impressed with our service at all (mostly because they were completely trying to rush us out of there), but all the food was really good. We attempted to snap a few pictures before dinner, but the wind was crazy strong. Our hair was going totally crazy.

After dinner we walked down to One Hotel South Beach and hit up the rooftop bar. I loved the vibe up there. They had a good DJ, big bar and gorgeous views; but it was so windy that night, we didn’t last too long.
Saturday morning we actually scheduled a Fly Bar cycling class. We had breakfast at the hotel and then grabbed an Uber to class. This photo below is nasty. My face is so bright red after class, but we were pretty proud of ourselves for going 🙂
We quickly changed to our swimsuits and headed down to the pool for the rest of the day! I loved the pool at the W too.
Saturday night we had appointments for a blow out at Dry Bar. It was fun to just be able to head up from the pool, take a quick shower, and then just throw on our dress. Then just let them take care of our hair 🙂
We had dinner on Saturday night at Casa Tua. I would highly, highly recommend this spot. We loved the atmosphere, food and service. You feel like you are in another country and the food was delicious.

We walked from dinner to the Delano hotel to have a drink at the bar and then ended up in the Doheny Room which was a quaint night club or lounge room that had a DJ and great atmosphere. We decided to grab a small area to ourselves with a bottle service, so we loved having a place to sit; but could also enjoy the dance floor if we wanted to.
Sunday was spent at the beach all morning. We all had flights out at 4pm, so we enjoyed the beach and a nice lunch before we had to head to the airport.
It was such a fun weekend and feels so good to come home refreshed!
