Weddings seem to hit me harder than ever these days because I’m so out of practice! It takes me two full days to recover, I swear. I had plans to share a “what’s in my suitcase” post with ya’ll Friday before I left, but time just got away from me!
We had the BEST time and it couldn’t have been a more gorgeous weekend. The weather was perfection. There was a bit of a cool front that came through while the rest of the Northeast was getting nailed by a blizzard, but then it quickly warmed up to be a perfect weekend. I was so excited to pack a suitcase full of sun dresses, sandals, and swim suits!!
We left the kids behind with Grammy and we were excited for an adult weekend.

I made sure to put my favorite bright colors on for a trip down south. I also got a spray tan because they always make me feel the best 🙂

We stayed at the Vinoy, a Marriott hotel, which is one of our favorites. We have stayed at this hotel for three weddings now (all in the month of March in different years) and we are obsessed every time. It is walking distance to the beautiful Beach Drive that is filled with tons of great restaurants, the cutest bars and coffee shops and so much more. The hotel has tons of great history behind it and they are in the middle of a huge renovation!
Friday afternoon, all the ladies of the bridal party, met at a rooftop bar called The Canopy. It was so gorgeous, incredible views and I’m pretty sure we could have all stayed up there drinking Rose ALL DAY. I never wanted to leave. I would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting St. Petersburg.
I got to wear my favorite pink pom espadrilles which have to be my favorite new shoes of the season. I’m obsessed and they are so comfortable.

The view of our hotel from the rooftop…
Friday night was the rehearsal dinner at the most gorgeous outdoor space of an art gallery. It was such a pretty night and fun celebration of the couple. I wore my favorite new Lilly dress, but did a terrible job with photographs. We had cocktail hour, served dinner, gave a few speeches and had a blast. After dinner, there was a cocktail hour back at the hotel for all of the wedding guests to meet up. It was such a fun way to see everyone on Friday night.
Saturday morning was wedding day and we were up bright and early to get beautified for the big day. We played music, ate Chick Fil A, served Mimosas and reminisced about our college days. It was some great girl time.
The bridesmaids were jammed packed busy all day with beauty appointments, photos, ceremony and then it was reception time. The ballroom at the Vinoy was gorgeous and everything looked perfect. We ate a spectacular surf and turf dinner, I gave my MOH speech, and then we were ready to dance the night away.
I was sad to say goodbye to the weekend. It was such a fun reunion with so many of our college friends. It’s always special to be in one place together again! Cheers to the Spears and thanks for an amazing weekend 🙂
Awwwww love seeing all these hometown shots! Looks like you had a gorgeous weekend!
I am just totally smitten with it down there! You are very lucky to call it home ?
What a beautiful wedding and a fun weekend! I’m obsessed with your rooftop outfit and your bridesmaids dress/look is fantastic!
