During the last weekend of April, we spent our 7 year Anniversary weekend in Rosemary Beach with the kids. We started doing this about 3 years ago (2018, 2017) and now I want to do it forever. We have found it to be the perfect time of year to go down there because the Spring Break crowds are gone and then we get there before any of the Summer traffic. The temperature is usually perfect and it’s just a fun way for us to spend a long weekend since it is only about 2 hours away.
We rent different places every time we go down there. You can read our entire Rosemary Beach review here along with every place we have ever rented. When it is just our family of five, we have always rented a Carriage house which is usually a one bedroom above the garage of a house. It is definitely close quarters, but we love it and it’s pretty fun! This is actually the first time we have put all 5 of us in one. We’ve always been a family of four before this trip!
We rented the Jones Carriage House and loved it. It was super close to the beach (3 houses off the beach) and a quick bike ride or short walk to the main strip of shops and restaurants. Our only complaint is that the bedroom is up stairs and the bathroom is downstairs. We have rented a few other carriages houses where this is the case and it is kind of a pain, but not the end of the world. The kids slept on the sleeper sofa downstairs and then the baby slept in a pack N play next to our bed. It was important that I found a house that could fit the pack n play next to us. This one worked perfectly for that! The whole house was really adorable and well done. The only thing we didn’t have in our kitchen was an oven. Not a huge deal, but we did buy a frozen pizza for the kids one night and had no way to cook it! whoops!
Molly slept in her pack N play with this Slumber Pod over top. This things rocks because its like a tent for the baby. This way they can’t see Mommy and Daddy and its nice and dark for them. It was easy to put together and folds up in a small bag!
We arrived Thursday evening around 4pm and checked in, dropped all our stuff in our new house for the weekend and headed straight to the beach with a small cooler. There was a pretty big storm that was heading our way that night and we wanted to try and get an hour or so on the beach before the rain came! We love the beach around 5pm because its usually so pretty and peaceful.
We walked back to the house around 6pm or so and got everyone dressed and ready for dinner. We had plans to walk right to Rosemary and have dinner at La Crema, but the rain started before we could get there and we decided to hop in the car and had to Cuvee 30A.

After dinner we rented a movie with the big kids and I loved looking down from our balcony of Matt with the kids snuggled on the pull out couch.
Friday morning was pretty after the rain and lightening had come through during the night. We rented one of these little bike caddies and I was pretty excited because Molly was big enough to ride in it this trip. She loved it and did great for every ride!
We biked to donuts in Seacrest for the kids and had a quick breakfast at Grits N Grind. Then it was time to park it at the beach!
The beach was a little bit cooler and windier on Friday then we had expected because of the storm that had come through. We hung out for a few hours, but the kids were not loving it as much as usual. Molly took her morning nap on me and played in the sand for a bit.

After the kids had enough beach time, we packed it up and came back to our house. I could tell the kids were pretty tired. Madelyn and Molly both took a nap and then I went to grab us all some lunch from Cowgirl Kitchen.
We ate lunch and let them nap and then took a little family bike ride before it was time for the babysitter to arrive.
We got dressed and ready for dinner and I was so excited to wear my new Sheridan French dress to meet friends at Paradis.
Our friends from Pensacola were down visiting Rosemary for the weekend too and we were able to meet up with them for dinner which was so much fun!
Saturday morning we biked to Big Bad Breakfast to eat. We brought Madelyn’s strider/balance bike with us and she actually loved using that around time. It made things slightly more stressful when we were biking, but I still loved watching her.
We dressed and headed to the beach again on Saturday and it was absolutely gorgeous. The water was so much clearer and we had little to know wind. We made it for 5 hours straight at the beach which was so nice!
I shared all of our beach toys and gadgets on my Instastories recently and they are saved in my highlights. I will link everything at the end of this post too.

Saturday evening we had a babysitter again and we went out to celebrate our anniversary dinner! We didn’t have a real plan, but I knew I wanted to try and get into Pescado, at least for cocktails. We went over there early and ended up getting the most gorgeous table right at the edge with beautiful views.

We had the seafood salad and the huge fried lobster for two! The noodles that come with this lobster are so delicious too! It’s an asian style dish.
While we were sitting at our table eating, my friend sent me a text and told me she just saw me in an instagram story from Reagan on the TV Show Very Cavallari. It was so funny. So I looked over at this large table of young adults and I saw her!
So of course I had to ask her for a photo and she couldn’t have been sweeter about it. We were pretty much besties after that! 😂 Her boyfriend is from Atlanta and he was actually super nice. His Dad owns a house is Rosemary and they were all here celebrating his 30th birthday. As far as I know, he hasn’t been on the show yet. Not sure if he will make an appearance.
Sunday morning it was already time to pack up and leave to drive home. The rentals always require a 10am checkout, so it always make the day pretty short. We packed the car and grabbed one more breakfast at our favorite spot, Big Bad Breakfast. Then we took the scenic ride home and caught a few shops on our way home. It was a quick trip, but so much fun!! We can’t wait to be back for an entire week in June with family and friends!
